Trip Through Your Wires

In the distance she saw me coming down
I was calling out
I was calling out
Still shaking - still in pain
You put me back together again
I was cold and you clothed me honey
I was down and you lifted me honey

Angel - angel or devil
I was thirsty and you wet my lips
You, I'm waiting for you
You, you set my desire
I trip through your wires

I was broken, bent out of shape
I was naked in the clothes you made
My lips were dry - throat like rust
You gave me shelter from the heat and the dust
There's no more water in the well
No more water, water

Angel - angel or devil [etc repeated]

Thunder, thunder on the mountain
There's a rain cloud in the desert sky
In the distance she saw me coming down
I was calling out
I was calling out

I always kind of get that this could be the Biblical love story of Isaac and Rebekah. I love the sound of the song and the Biblical references.

I love the harmonica too. Bono needs to get that out more often.

He's very good on the harmonica-i agree. I still like the feel of this song. I too think it sounds very suductive. I can really picture sitting in the studio or for that matter someones' living room 7 Bono breaking out w/ a harmonica & the boys just jamming-that'd be a dream come true!

This song is totally sexy. And that harmonica needs to come out during concerts. Every tour, I'm begging in my mind for him to play it.

Harmonica Rocks. I read once that Bono learned to play it because he is a big Springsteen fan. I don't know if that is true or not, but I know I love it when the Harmonica appears
