Here is my review for the Philadelphia show, although I am finding it quite difficult to put into words what I felt that night.  I'll do my best.
We got to our seats about an hour before Kings of Leon came on and I felt really bad for them.  The place was so empty compared to how full it would be in the next 2 hours.  They were ok, and the crowd was polite, but I still felt for them.  It seemed like it took forever for our boys to take the stage, but around 9 the lights finally went out.  I was anxious to see what they would open with and was blown away by their choice.  City of Blinding Lights.  It was beauty beyond words.  The song, the confetti, and the energy of the crowd were amazing!  Then they went straight into Vertigo and i've never seen a crowd so into a show before, and I've been to a lot of shows.  Well, that was only my second time seeing them, but i'm comparing the crowd to every show i've ever seen.  And it is uncomparable.  Elevation was even better than when they opened with it, when I saw them the fisrt time.  I was so excited to hear some songs from Boy too!  It has always been one of my favorite albums, and An Cat Dubh/Into the Heart, one of my favorite songs.  At the end of Into the Heart, Bono pulled two little girls onto the stage and walked around the eclipse with them.  It was so cute!  He then asked them their names (Can't remember what they were, oops), and he then replied, "My name is Paul, but I call myself Bono."  It was so sweet.  Beautiful Day was awesome and then Bono spoke a bit about how he'd been thinking a lot about Live Aid lately, especially since he was in Philly.  The then went into Miracle Drug, which I loved.  Next was a song I have been waiting to hear since I heard it many months ago.  I can't even begin to describe the emotion in that place.  When Bono hit that note, I know you all know which one, I can guarantee there was not a dry eye in the house.  I was then suprised by a song that was not one of my faves on the new album, Love and Peace.  One of my new favorite songs, I guess I just had to see it live.  Larry playing the drums at the end of the eclipse and then when Bono took over and banged the hell out of them, it took my breath away.  What a great song live.  I almost lost it when I heard the beat to SBS, that has been one of my faves since I first discovered the band. Bono noticed some people waving an Irish Flag and told the crowd that it was no longer just a song for the Irish, but a song for American's as well. Bullet rocked, as always and then the song I have been waiting to hear since I was 12 years old, Running to Stand Still.  Bono dedicated the song to men and women of the U.S. Military and the crowd roared.  I was not disappointed.  Worth every minute I had to wait.  Next, was Pride, great as usual, the crowd sang the chorus well after the song was over.  The next song, was a song that can only be described as a religious experience.  Streets is just one of those spiritual songs, that you can't put the energy and emotion into any words we could ever understand.  It was magic.  Followed by my favorite song of all time, "One".  Bono talked about how the world should unite, because we could do the unimaginable if we were one.  He is so right!  Then the band left the stage, but not for long.  They came back with a killer performance of Zoo Station, something I was really looking forward to seeing as I was too young to go to Zootv, or so my dad told me, lol.  Then came The Fly, which rocked, into Mysterious Ways, which I was glad to hear again.  All Because of You was amazing, as was Yahweh.  They ended with 40, and It was my first time for such and ending.  We were chanting "How Long" a full hour after the show was over out in the parking lot.
So I guess you can tell I had the best time of my life.  They always say that seeing a band you love for the second, or third, or however many times you are fortunate to see them will never compare to you're first.  The only thing that didn't make it better than the first was the fact that it was the second.  Does that make sense?  It does to me.
It just amazes me, because less than a month ago I was front row center at the Green Day show in Charlotte, the closest I've ever been at any show, totally unexpected, and while in was amazing in its own right, I'd rather be nosebleed at a U2 show anyday.
