U2 WRITES LETTER, PLANS REHEARSAL (Thanks @U2.com for this)
June 09, 2005
Our friends at U2neophobia.com tell us that U2 have distributed a letter today to Brussels residents living near Roi Baudouin stadium, letting them know about a full rehearsal planned tonight and apologizing for the "inconvenience" associated with Friday's concert in their neighborhood. The letter is written on Vertigo Tour
letterhead and is hand-signed by all four band members. It reads, in part:
"The show on Friday night is very important to us. We are using brand new screens, Belgian technology in fact, that have never been used before. It is impoerative for this tour that we test these in real concert and real time conditions, so that we get the best effect from them.
This means that on Thursday evening, we will be rehearsing the full show from 21:15 until 23:30.
We thank you very much for your understanding!"
