The concert I went to was on Wed. Sept.14th, in Toronto, and it was a really great concert!!!!!! The opening act was Dashboard Conferssional, same as the Monday show. I thought they were all right, but didn't really think they were the greatest. I fell asleep during their set, but then I'd had a super busy day at work and was exhausted! My boyfriend woke me up, cause he didn't want me to miss U2! lol! It was awesome to see U2 play "Vertigo" live, and to see "Miracle Drug", "SYCMOYO" (almost cried during that one), "All Because Of You", "City Of Blinding Lights", "Love & Peace" & "Yahweh". One of my fav parts was when Bono & Larry sang, Bono banging on the drums, and Larry playing the keyboard. Adam played the keyboard too, that was really cool! It was great to see Adam with more energy than elevation! He walked around the circle at one point & was mostly beside Bono, facing the "egg", instead of hanging back. Thought that was great! At one point, during "The Fly", Bono pulled up on stage a woman dressed as a belly dancer & danced with her! That was cool! The boys played a lot more of their earlier stuff, like "Sunday, Bloody Sunday"(which was awesome), "Bad", "Pride", "Where The Streets Have No Name", "Still Haven't Found", and lots more! At one pint, Bono sang "Old Man river" They also played "Elevation" and "Beautiful Day", which was aweosme! Everyone sang along, and at some points, Bono stopped singing and let the audience sing the song he'd been singing! It was great! Can't member everything they played, cause I was so tired that day, but remember I had a great time! They played for about 2 hours, which was awesome! That's a lot longer then when I went to see them during Elevation! We had a great view of the boys from our seats and they were awesome! My boyfriend had a great time too, it was his 1st concert ever! What a great concert! Had a blast!!!!!!!!! |

What a great first concert for your bo! It sounds like you had a wonderful time blkjak! We did not get the belly dancer on Monday! I don't know how you could have slept through D.C. though, cause they were really LOUD on Monday. LMAO I am glad that you enjoyed yourself. Hugs, Pine |

Fell asleep at a rock concert. THAT is a new one Jax. You've been working too hard girl. I'm glad you had such a wonderful time. As for the lady Bono pulled up on stage. I've met her when she came to Boston last fall. Her nickname is Mrs. The Edge. Here's a pic of her when she was in Boston. We were all at a night club to see a U2 tribute band called Elevation out of Toronto. |
