Never done this before, but here goes....
I tried to get tickets for the original Sydney dates that were postponed, but I was unsuccessful. 
There were 2 dates set for Sydney, and the 150,000 tickets sold out in less than an hour! (apparently setting a box office record for U2). I was so disappointed...as you can imagine.
In August when tickets went on sale for a 3rd Sydney concert I was able to get some ...and I was sooooo excited! I took my daughter with me, as a birthday gift...and she really wanted to go see U2.
We arrived at Telstra Stadium a couple of hours before they were to open the gates, and we just hung out & soaked up the atmosphere.....bought t-shirts etc. While we were waiting in line we could hear U2 rehearsing....and OMG I couldnt get over how good they sounded from OUTSIDE the stadium....and just couldnt wait to get to hear them inside! We finally got inside and it was the first time I'd ever been to Telstra stadium (where they held the opening & closing ceremonies for the Sydney olympics)....and just the size of the stadium blew me away...and got me even more psyched up for U2!
Kane West was the supporting act....and well, enough said about that! . LMAO (yes it was REALLY that bad 
)
We had B reserve seating....which was basically at the opposite end of the stadium to where the stage was....and this stadium seats 80,000 people....so it was a fair way back! (I now started to think, maybe I'm not too old for the GA area....LOL)
When U2 came out on stage....Bono had the Australian flag draped around his shoulders....and the crowd just ERUPTED! We, naturally jumped up, whistling and cheering....and then they sang the first song, "City of Blinding Lights" (one of my fav's 
) and we were singing, clapping, dancing...in my own little world...LOL...just me and U2 . After about the second song, I just happened to look around and notice that we are the only ones standing up! 
I couldnt believe it! The people immediately behind me, would not have been able to see a thing. And when I turned around...they just gave me this look They made me feel really bad...so, we sat back down and rocked in our seats....LOL ( I now KNEW that I wasnt too old for the GA area, LMAO). But whenever my fav songs came on, I just got up and danced and sung....I wasnt gonna, and couldnt just sit there all night. I'm not joking, some of the people that were near us...didnt even clap or anything....nothing...not once It was like they were made to attend something that they didnt want to attend...beats me why they even bothered to go. I mean, come on people....this is U2!!! The greatest band there is! 
I loved all the songs that they played...a great mixture of old and new. I couldnt wait to hear "The Saints Are Coming" and when they played it...wow the stadium just erupted....they sounded so good. We were all up jumping around...it was sooooo so good. (most of the borings had left by this stage...can you believe that? To leave a U2 concert before it's finished?!?!?!?) Miss Sarajevo was another fav that they sung...and I couldnt believe how good Bono sounded singing the Pavaroti part....it was just beautiful...awesome!
I think it's just so amazing how 4 men can whip 70-odd thousand people, of all ages , up into such a frenzy!!! They are amazing. I loved the fact that there were people in their 60's , 9 year olds with their parents, and every age in between all enjoying the show (besides the 20-30 borings seated near us.)
I didnt want the night to end, but unfortunately it did. But the memories and experience will last me a lifetime , it was truely an amazing experience that I will never forget..... and if they ever come back to Australia, I'll be doing my darnest to get tickets again (GA tickets at that! LMAO)
Thanx Bono, Edge, Larry & Adam.....you gave me the best night of my life.....it was awesome!
