I feel somewhat pitiful just venting about menial things and so many have such health problems. Sorry, but this just freaked me out. Just a little wind and my favorite maple tree in my front yard goes crashing into my neighbors fence. What the heck!! I could not believe my eyes when I saw it. Half of it had been taken out in our famous hurricanes. But my neighbor and I were so sure it would be ok and not fall over. I felt it was very strong tree, over 15 year old. But darn it, was not. What a mess. But I got all the broken section of fence out of the way and my son hooked the riding mower up to it and out she came. Huge tree too. I couldn't believe it. It has poured down rain and can't put the new section up yet. I have this pine in my front yard that people my son bought the house from planted. OMG, it is horrible, don't know what they were thinking. It is so huge tall and fat. Blocks off all viewing from front porch. The hurricane blew it enough to have it really slanted, why couldn't it have been that thing? Oh no, it probably has roots to China. Frustrating!! One I loved is gone. One I just hate is still standing as a reminder that I just hate it. Hopefully soon we will be having that one taken down though. Then I will be happier. Right now I am mourning the loss of my favorite Maple. |

Perhaps someone who is artistic with a chainsaw could cut down the pine and make a nice garden seat out of the stump??? Seen it done a few years ago. Also another tree stump turned into a garden table with a bar lOLOLOL!!! Now that is real Kiwi style!! Huggs, KiwiPam |

Oh True, that is not menial. We had pretty much the same thing happen during a storm last fall. A huge tree in the close part of our woods got hit by lightening, and down it went, takeing two other trees with it, and 4 sections of my chainlink fence, plus a new tree we had planted, as we have a row of trees that were planted in front of the house. Not only that, it plugged up the creek that runs through our yard, so we had to worry about flooding until we got that part out of the creek. We had one flood before we could get it done. We still have a mess out there, but it is slowly being chainsawed up and giving the wood away. The fence still needs to be fixed. So I condider your venting on this something to really vent about! |
