Dear me I am gonna get this off my chest. I can't seem to cry, but I sure can yell, haha. Our transmission went out on our car today as we were on our way to St. Augustine. I couldn't believe it either. First was a $75 towing fee, then to get the replacement transmission $1,000. Thank goodness I had most of my shopping for Christmas finished. EXCEPT for Daniel and Chris. I feel terrible, but what can I do. They certainly understand I know that. Damn car!! OK I let it out think I feel better |

Awww geez missy!!! Not a good thing to have happen at this time of the year. Am sorry! If we lived closer I'd let you borrow my car. I know, I know, that doesn't do you any good. How long will it be before they will have the transmission fixed? Do you have rental on your insurance? I'm sure Daniel and Chris will understand as I'm sure they know it wasn't something you planned on having happen. Hang in there hon, things have got to get better! Sounds like your luck has been running like mine lately. My car doesn't break down (knock on my wooden head) but my son's new truck has broke down so he's using my car again. I had planned on a trip back up north the week before Christmas, but won't be going now because I don't have my car. My friends that live on one of the reservations up there want to drive down here and get me, but that's too much for them to do. They're elders of mine so driving that many hours is just not good for them. I've been invited to join them in some ceremonies before Christmas and was sooooooo looking forward to going, but I'll just be happy with a tape of it. Maybe next year. Do you have someone that can get you back and forth to your doctor's appointments between now and whenever the transmission gets fixed? I hope so hon!!! Take care and don't stress over it. That's not going to do your healing process any good. Take care and if you need someone to yell at you know you can scream at me. Much love, Moki |
