This isnt a poem, but rather something I witnessed one day on a walk, as I was pondering the big question "WHY"
I asked God for help and He told me ?Go fly a kite?lt;o:p>

A lesson in kite flying

With all the confusion of life, sorting out my problems and trying to figure out myself the ways to go. I prayed and asked god to show me what to do. He told me to stop and go fly a kite. I didn’t understand at first. For what did this mean? Did he really care?

So I got my kite and went out to fly it. The day was clear and a slight breeze was blowing. Getting a running start the kite began to soar. Higher and higher it rose until it was where I wanted it. So I asked God, Now what? and he said let it go higher. So higher the kite flew until it was just a dot in the sky. The wind picked up and it was hard to control the kite. It swayed back and forth; it was getting harder to control it. Finally the string broke and the kite soared out of sight.

Then it occurred to me the lesson involved here. The kite symbolizes the troubles we have and the string the way we try to hold on in control. The wind God provides will help take these things way and let us release these things until we finally obey and let go.

If we put our faith in God, we take these problems and let them go, instead of trying to hold on to that string and control all things.
