THE KISS
DANIELLE STEEL
This was a no put down book. Both married for such a long time, for the children. Both maintaining a close friendship only for a long time. Then they finally met in Paris and were ok for awhile but one night he professed his love for her and she did for him also. They were going to a special place for dancing and in the limo. They were hit broad side by a bus as they kissed for the first time. The driver was killed and they were barely hanging on. She was closer to death than he was. But EMs got them out of this horribly wrecked car and to hospital. Each had same dream about other while in OR and each grabbed the others hand to find their way back. And much to the surprise of the hospital staff who were caring for them, looked like they would live. Her husband, an unloving, cold man. His wife, showing love for him for first time since married. Too late for both, these two love each other now. Through rehab and recovery, leaving hospital and his being so nobel as to let her go back to her family. He was paralized and in wheelchair. But, she wouldn't accept this from him and showed him how much she loved him.
Of course I cried! Very touching, but I am a softy for such love stories. I loved this book.
What about the book you just read? Did you love it?
