I am a lover of all books.  Especially hard backs.  I have a large collection and have read them all.  I love the smell, touch and look of them.  Ok, yes I am nuts.
Danielle Steel is one of my favorite authors.  I just finished her book:  "THE KISS"  what a story.
I also thoroughly enjoy James Patterson.  Detective stories, wow.  Next is Patrical Cromwell.  She writes about being a medical examiner, as she was one in Virginia.  So exciting and with a lot of detailed information.  If you are a little squeamish you might not want to read hers.  Reading assists in stimulating our brains.  That is something I need.  What do you read?

What about that Skeeter, we have something in common and it is a good thing.  And the type books we read are so much alike, except, Stve King. He scares me too much so I can't read him.  I don't like Kontz either.  Blow fly, yes I read it.  Kind of sickening though.  But a lot of Kay Scarpettas work is like that.  How else could it bee?  hahaha
A terrific Patterson book is Four Blind Mice. Never can figure out what is going on until they tell you.  It was just a perfect read to me.  You keep reading.  I just finised a 4 part series by V.C. Andrews.  Her work is great too.  Since she died haven't read any from the ghost writer though.  Good reading kiddo!!

Hey Skeeter
I love those office supplies too. I am like a kid in a candy store when I see one of those shops. Same way with books. Got so many I have ha to put them in my basement, not enough room in flat anymore, even though I have books in two rows on every shelve.
I just know how that forgetfulness is. I have just recently finished one off the best books I have ever read and darn it can't remember the name or the author. I will post it when I have been home and fetched it. I just might have to think about that forgetfulness is linked to the age thingy but I will probably forget about it again lol.

My two favorite novels are Dean Kontz : The experiment and Barbara Wood : The blessing stone. (I even got my brother to read The experiment, the only book he has ever read and he loved it). I read them all. Only trouble is when I get a good book I don't have time to be at the computer and when I am on the computer I don't get any reading don.

I know Dean Kontz, but not familiar with your other favorite author.  I am so glad we love books and reading.  Great to expand  our minds or rest with.
I am currently reading a Danielle Steel book "Echos" it is about a family that takes them from Natzie Germany until.... well that is as far as I have gotten.  I wonder how many turn to the end of your book and read the final happenings?  If you are brave enough tell me.  I never have done that as I know it will ruin it for me.  I always read the prologues and at the end when they sometimes have a small blirb about their next book.  They sure know what they are doing to get you to buy more books, huh?

I am almost finished with the Danielle Steel book, "Echos", it is really good.  One little thing keeps nagging me though.  I have seen a movie with this plot and story line in it.  When I was a kid and it was in black and white.  Hummmm...that doesn't sound good for Miss Danielle.  It all seems so familiar and it is her latest book!!  When I am finished I will give you a report on it.
