Hi kiddo!  Sure hope today is bein' good to you!!  Things are going good here, just in a whole lotta pain today. Don't know what's kicked it into high gear, but it can let it rest anytime as far as I'm concerned.  Am doing my best to keep focused on other stuff and not let it get to me though.  In about a ½ hour I'm going to leave to go to a birthday party for a little 3 yr. old dude that owns a piece of my heart.  He's the son of the maint. super. here at this complex and one of the ladies that lives here babysits him.  He is 3 yrs. old today and he's quite a ball of energy.  Very intelligent too.  All of his brothers and sisters are either in high school or college so he's grown up with no baby talk or other stuff that's sometimes hard for little ones to master.  He's the apple of everyones eye that lives here.  He likes riding around in my lap when I'm using my power chair.  I've promised him a ride to his birthday paty in it today.  LOL!!  I just hope he sits really still this time.  Otherwise I'm gonna be hurtin' big time while he's in my lap, but I can't disappoint the little sweetie pie.  He's just a little darlin'.  One time when my legs were killin' me his babysitter and I were talking about the medications I have to help deal with some of the pain and he figured out that my legs were hurting and he came over and kissed each of my knees and said "OK brammaw Moker!  Now they're all better!"  Little chit made me cry.  Then we had to try and make him understand why I was crying because he thought he had hurt me.

Soooo, how's your day goin' anyway?  You're probably sewing up a storm by now.  LOL!!  I was in Wal-Mart a few days ago and picked-up 5 different pieces of tropical print cotton that I'm going to make some sun dresses with.  They're really lush, tropical prints so they will look nice.  I've got a pattern that I made for sundresses several years ago.  I just keep changing it a little bit each time...LOL!  I think a couple of them I'm going to fix them so that they look more like long cotton blouses -- with a nice collar and buttons down the front.  That way I would have a couple of comfy cotton dresses to go out in too.  When the temps get into the 100's and above, everybody wear's cotton because it's the most comfy in that kind of heat.  The rest of them I'll probably just make them pull over sun dresses with the small shoulder straps and a flouncy-trouncy effect to them.  That way the breeze will flow through them and help keep me cooler.  I may just open up my sewing machine and put one together after I get home from Morgan's birthday party.  They only take about an hour to put together.  I'm going to buy some lightweight seersucker too and make myself a few pair of capri pants and blouses too.  It's close to the time of year out here where you want to wear as little a possible.  LOL!  During the intense heat each summer out here we're usually either in sun dresses or our swimsuits!  It's just too hot to wear much else.

My son and his girlfriend came by for a short visit last night.  It was good to see them again and I sure wish they could have stayed a little bit longer, but she needed to get home so she could get to bed because she had to go into work early this morning.  We had a good time while they were here though.  I baked up some pizza rolls and we just kinda sat around eating pizza rolls and talking about the house they're planning on building in 3-4 yrs. from now.  They'll have their property paid off by then and will be able to afford to build then without getting to deep into debt.  They're planning on getting married in about 1½ yrs. and live in an apartment until the house is built.  Then they will start thinking about starting a family.  They're determined to build a small cabin for me on the back 5 acres of the property they've bought.  It would be soooo wonderful to have my own little place out in the country again.  I've been trying to save every last nickel and dime I can so that I can help them out because I know it's far from cheap to build homes nowadays.  They keep telling me that they won't accept any money from me, but that won't stop me from just taking it to the bank and having a banker apply it to there loan...LOL!!  (sneaky mom here).

Well, I suppose I'd best get my power chair out, go get Morgan and head to his birthday party.  You take care today, ok?  Will be back later.

Love youzzz,

Moki

Hey You,

Not to bad a day for me.  Just the pain for me also, like you.  I too have kept busy so as to not think about it.  Works sometimes.  My little ones were here since noon till little after 7.  So that kept me busy also.  It was a good day really.  I did get too hot outside and wasn't out that long.  But it was 100 out there today.  I came in and my girls pampered me.  Cold cloth on my head and rubbing my legs, awww it was wonderful!

Well your little man out there sure sounds like something.  Shaylin is half a year older than him.  Yes I bet he is smart with such older siblings.  Shaylin is really smart, Kenzie teaches her everything she knows.  Which seems to be alot.

I am really tired tonite.  But I knew I should try to get on and write you and try to do something in the room before I pass out.  haha  I just checked the time and it is almost 3am.  I have nothing that important to do tomorrow, so it will be ok.

I didn't do any sewing today.  It was too hot to be outside and I gave my girls my entire attention.  And they pampered me so was really a good day. haha

I had gotten 2 new patterns for them and showed that and all the material I had they could choose what they wanted.  OMG, I will be sewing from now till forever getting all they want now.  Think I made a boo-boo.  But they won't remember maybe!!!!  I already have Shaylin's purple [her favorite color] capri outfit made.  Gotta make Kenzie the pink one of material she picked out.  Can't have one for Shaylin and not for Kenzie that would be terrible.

We had a good chat session last nite.  An old friend who I hadn't seen in a very long time, several years came in.  It was good to see her.

That man I was telling you about who is full Indian is 56 years old, goes by fiercemac.  He has MS arthritus, blind, and lost his wife of 36 years to throat cancer recently.  But I hadn't heard back from him.  Then I thought I should go back to the last of my email and check from there.  So I have about 700 in there now, guess I will do that and hopefully find letters from all the 6 who had applied.

You know your son is really a wonderful young man.  All his plans made, huh?  That is wonderful that they are going to build you a place behind them.  That would be really great for both of you.  You wouldn't be lonely and you would be there should they need you.  And have your own place.  Yes I agree they can't keep you from making some deposits toward their loan.  haha  Sneaky, but I am just like you I would do the same thing and sneaky like if I had to even.  He will appreciate it more in the end I bet.  Sounds like he has a very sensible fiance' also.  I am sure you are very proud of them.

Evidently I did a pretty good job matching up the partners this month.  I have had several comments about what good time they are having.  Sortta like us, haha.  Sure makes me feel really good.

I am nodding off somewhat.  Before long I will be like you falling asleep at my desk and have nothing done.  Then I will have a stiff neck and all that pain to go along with all this I have in my shoulder and left arm.  Not for me.

You have fun and enjoy your morning.  I will talk with you more tomorrow.

Love you lots girl,

Cylene

Well my friend, I had this nice, kinda long letter all written to post here for you and what do I do??  I fall asleep sitting here, wake up with quite a jolt, and my fingers pressed cancel or something because I saw it all just disappear in the blink of an eye.  Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!  Oh well, guess I should be in bed instead of trying to do other stuff. I hope you sleep well tonight and have sweet dreams!

As always,

Moki
