Hi there lady!!  I sure hope you've had as good a Sunday as I've had!!  I had made up my mind this morning that I wasn't doing anything I didn't REALLY, REALLY want to do, and so far, so good!  I even spent 3½ hours floating around in the swimming pool -- sometimes dozing off and sometimes chatting with others that were doing the same thing I was.  It has felt sooooo good to just let the day walk right on past me!  I had initially planned on getting a couple of things accomplished around here, but decided to make this a Moki day.  I'm sitting here munching on my dinner right now -- a bowl of watermelon and cantalope, and a BLT sandwich, with a nice, tall, cool glass of lemonade flavored Crystal Lite.  The sun has gone down enough that it's shaded over on this side of the complex so when I'm done with my dinner I can go outside and get everything watered real good and then I'll have the rest of the evening to do whatever I please.  I'm thinking about grabbing the laptop and sitting on the front porch while I write for awhile.  My son and his lady usually stop by on Sunday evening, but he's been asked to preach at a church up in Redding this evening, so they won't be in town.  They've got several friends up there and they headed up that way earlier today so they could have dinner with their friends and relax with everyone for a little while before this evenings services.  They will head back down here afterwards.  It's only about a 3 hour drive so it won't be all that late when they get back into town.
While I was floating around in the pool earlier, I was thinking about all the folks that were at that camp-out I was planning on going to this week-end.  I'd be willing to bet that they've all headed home looking like lobsters.  It has been really hot this week-end!  That's the reason I decided not to go.  I've been known to do some crazy things, but I wasn't about to spend a week-end in temps that were over 100° and not have any air conditioning close by.  Lordy nooooooooo!!  LOL!
So, what did you do today anyway?  Did ya get anymore sewing done?  I like to crochet and I get online newsletters from The Lion Yarn Co. so I printed out several patterns of theirs I've been saving.  Gives me projects to work on during the winter months.
How's the clean-up of your little sweetie pie's "fun time" coming?  LOL!  You poor thing!  You sound alot like me -- meaning -- if anything can go worng, it will -- and it will be in a manner that nobody else would believe!  Heck, I doubt that I could even just simply drop a glass of water!  It would have to be caught, at least once, by each hand, bounce across the floor, stand straight up on the floor while only spilling a couple of drops and then I would trip and fall on top of it, cutting myself bad enough to need stitches....LMAO!!  That's just how things go when I'm involved!!
Well my dear lady, I've had the last bite of my BLT so I think I'll rinse off the dishes, put them in the dishwasher, put some sandals on my feet and go outside and water the flower beds and the grass.  Then I can relax again for the rest of the evening.  Sleep well tonight and have sweet dreams.
Much love,
Moki

Hi Sweet Friend,

I took Sunday as a Cylene day also.  I just slept and relaxed.  All the carpet mess was gone and everything cleaned up.  I mowed the yard and worked outside Saturday.  I did some sewing while watching an old movie.  Just whatever I wanted to do.  So I can relate to you.  I unfortunately fell asleep at 8 and woke at 11, then couldn't get back to sleep until 4am.  I was so upset about that.  My little girls were coming today to spend the day with me.  I finally got up at 11 and called to tell them to come on.  They had called me twice before that. I felt bad, but they came on up.  We had a good day.  Shaylin and I worked with my tomato plants.  Something is killing them one at a time right down the row!  We treated them and I dug up the one that was death and dug that soil away from the others.  I treated the soil and I just hope that it won't affect any more plants.  I am gonna be so upset.  I planted them later than normal and they are full of green tomatoes.  We can't wait for them to ripen.  The girls are just so excited.  Kenzie already has her first green bean on her plant and when I was fixing the strings for it to grown up on, there were lots more little blooms on it.  I should have planted a few more around hers, guess I still could.  Maybe she could get enough for a meal.

I hate to tell you that I have the same problem as you.  If it can happen it will to me and be very dramatic!!  I broke my ankle last October.  I was just trying to get this big deal limb out of my tree, hurricane had knocked it loose.  So I was prying it off and it snapped and threw me a ways across the yard.  I heard the snap when I landed, hoped it was the limb, but was my ankle.  I almost passed out, but thank goodness my big dog, Jake, was around and I called him over, leaned on him and he brought me back into the house.  My son wasn't home, so I was so very thankful for Jake's help because I would have had to lay out there, no way I could get in by myself.

Today after we worked on the tomatoes, I decided to wash out the girls Barbie car, I had noticed bees around it, well there was a nest up under the fender.  So I was glad I cleaned that out.  I was pulling it over further in the yard, shade, ha.  I stepped in a hole, the big dogs had dug over the week end, then pop!  Same foot I had broken ankle.  I heard a little pop and saw stars.  But I didn't want the girls to know, so I stood there on one foot, leaning on the car till the worst was gone.  Then just asked Kenzie if she could bring me a chair, I hurt my foot.  She gets nervous yet she is so very helpful.  She gets the chair, Shaylin had a couple flowers for me, ha.  When she got over she could see I guess how miserable I was and she said she thinks we should go in the house.  She helped me in.  It wasn't as bad as with Jake, so doubt anything is broken.  It hurts like the dickens though.  If it isn't much better or is worse in AM, I will call doc to get things to go to bone doc and xrays.  If I have anything broken I am gonna flip.  So just wait!

I fell Saturday over on my back.  Last nite I was thinking I could have broken a hip or anything and it was my fault.  I was goofing off.  I was really sore from it too, I couldn't believe that.  Guess I really am older than I want to think, huh? hahaha

I was in chat till a little bit ago.  Dar told me you were in.  I tried and tried to get in and couldn't even get online.  Well finally decided to look, I wasn't even plugged in for internet service.  Oh brother!!  So fortunately I got there and you were gone.  Dar even called me, ha.  She is known to do that.  So often I don't know what day it is, so I know nothing about chat, in my mind anyway.  Goof!!

I am glad you are able to help others like that.  It is amazing that you can have you mind on two things at one time.  But anything calming would really be welcomed at a time like that I am sure.  God bless you girl.

Your pharmacist, old one, sounds exactly like mine.  Huge grouch.  I couldn't stand to deal with him, but like you the pharmacy was 1 mile from my house.  Well convience isn't always worth it.  haha  But I went across the highway, 6 lanes of traffic and found the best pharmacist there.  It is odd that we have had that same situation with them and ended up finding such wonderful ones.  It was just such a relief for me and I can imagine for you also.

I am getting tired and I do need to do some posting as I didn't even come online yesterday.  Everything was just too exhausting for me and I just laid and slept mostly.  I could have when I couldn't sleep, but I knew if I did I would never be able to go to sleep then.  So I just read my book and hoped I would go to sleep soon.

So I will go take care of as much as I can before I can't deal with this foot pain anymore.  You be careful yourself and do whatever needs to be done for Moki!  Hear me?!!

Lots of Love

Hi kiddo!  I've tried and tried today to get my pain levels down today, but they arent' budging. Guess it's just not going to be my day.  Then had a bit of a situation come up between a couple of friends and we all know what stress can do with chronic pain.  Woo hoo baby!  Like I've already said, it's just not my day today. When I get like this my thoughts also get very scattered, so if I'm not making any sense, just ignore me.  I'll settle down later.  LOL!!  I'm not kidding you...LOL!!!
Yup, I finally made it into chat last night. The first time I was there the stuff that I was typing wouldn't post at all.  Then it would post after about a minute delay. The delay just got longer and longer so I finally gave up and left.  I don't have the vaguest idea what the problem was, but I was disappointed that I couldn't chat with the folks that were there.  Maybe next time. At least I can get in there now. I had a heck of a time getting it to even let me in there. I was registered and everything, but couldn't get into any of the chat rooms.
I'm sorry to hear that you've hurt your foot.  And you haven't been to the doc yet, huh? You're as bad as me girl.  I'll wait until it has started healing the wrong way and then I go in.  That's my luck...LOL!!
I think it's crazy the way you have to get "notes" from your doctor in order to have ex-rays taken and other procedures done nowadays or your insurance won't pay.  I don't know how many hours I have sat in the emergency room waiting for them to get to me even though my doctor had made an appointment for me to be seen.  I can only imagine how long other folks that are there for true emergencies have to wait. Try spraying your tomatoes with a mixture of ½ water and ½ alcohol.  I've used that on all of the stuff I grow for years and years now and it gets rid of any bugs or other probs that seem to come up with growing things.  I've used it on tomatoes ALOT!  We have a whole lot of trouble with white moths out here.  They will kill anything that's growing outside. Others have spent a small fortune on stuff to get rid of them, but I use that half and half mixture of water and alcohol and the plants are fine.  It's just a little trick my granny taught me years and years ago.  I even use it on the Jasmine and honeysuckle.  I spray the outside of the Hummingbird feeders with it too when I see ants on it.  They run away like crazy!!  LOL!!  I cover up the little spots that they drink out of with my hand and just spray away. Then I put Grant's Ant spikes into the ground and they disappear completely within a week or so.
I'm sure glad to hear that Jake was able to help you get inside after you fell that one day.  That would have been horrible. Kinda like the day I fell out behind the dumpster and nobody could hear me screaming for help for so long.  I tell ya, ever since then I've ALWAYS carried a cell phone in my pocket. I won't buy clothes that don't have pockets in them anymore.  With dresses, I will either put pockets in them or I will sew a little pouch into the bodice where I can slide my cell in there.  I can't get myself back up if I go down because my knees both go out of place. Funniest site you've seen in ages. One part goes one way and the other part the opposite. Looks like I've got some kind of weird, weird disease!  LOL!!!  The nurse's will take a look at them and say things like "What on earth have you done?"  There have been times where I've felt like telling them, "Oh, I was getting bored sitting around home, eating bon-bons and drinking champagne so I decided to dislocate my knees for you!" Grrrrrr!  Now listen here, we are NOT getting older and older m'dear! No, no, no.  We are ladies and ladys don't get older.  We "mellow".  We mellow and our bodies just cannot keep up with us is all.  It's that simple!  Right???? (gigglin' under my breath).
I tell ya girlie, I sometimes find myself wishing I was independently wealthy so that I could lay back on my settee, nibble on bon-bon's and drink champagne all day long, but oh well.  I gotta stay as active as I possibly can.  Otherwise this poor old body is gonna give out and I'll be a permanent resident of that power chair that I already have to use waaaaay too much.  I really hate it when I have to use it, but it's better than having to sit here alone because I can't get out to do anything.
Well, I've got a dominoes game to go to in a little over an hour so I suppose I should jump intot he shower and clean up my act a little bit.
You take care dear lady!
Love,
Moki

Hi Miss Moki,

You sounded perfectly normal to me, so don't have to ignore anything! haha  You know I have noticed we are writing the prettiest, longest messages!  We are just amazing, huh?

I am really having the best time chatting with you.  I can always count on getting a colorful, happy message each day from you.  Gives me a good feel and just love it.

My foot feels much better today.  I feel very comfortable with my diagnosis!!  A couple more days of resting it and it will be fine.  No worries.

The water soaked carpet has been removed and everything is cleaned up.  So no worries.  No I am not allergic to mold.  Only thing I am allergic to is Iodine.  Anything that ends with "dine" I think.  So no shell fish!  In the land of sea food.  But only thing I miss is shrimp.  It was a mess cleaning all that mess out of here also.  Yeah I am sure Missy Shaylin was having the best time, but mercy me, what a disaster she put me thru.  But I love her so much anyway, so whatever it costs, doesn't matter.  I wish you could have heard their laughter in the shower, sounded to me like they were having a party!  Oh well it is over with now, so no use crying over spilled milk.  Oh yeah, the insurance would be great, but we have a $1,000 deductable.  Can't quite swing that right now so I knew I needed to handle it.  I am sure next year will bring something else though, ha.  It seems there is always something going wrong when you own a house.  Especially ours is over 20 years old so it is probably pushing time for some major expenses.  We have had to replace all the major appliances already.  We replaced all the carpeting in the front room and had wood flooring put down.  My son has allergies and that carpet was doing a job on him.  The wood floor is wonderful and we love it.  Not sure the animals love it as they skid across, ha.  It is very sturdy and no way of scratching it.  Big reason to love it with this big dog we have.

We had another terrible storm today.  And we were getting Direct TV put in today, ha.  We got a sunny spot and got all the work done outside.  Otherwise the guy said he wouldn't have been able to do it.  He worked from 4:30 this afternoon till nearly 8:30 tonite!!  I wasn't sure he knew what he was doing, but seems all the equipment he had wouldn't work together.  So I hope this is a precursor of anything we might have to deal with also.  Better not be.  I got all stressed for a bit because Daniel "haha" told me that he didn't think they carried "Court TV"  I was ready to tell that guy to take it back then! haha  I have to have that channel.

Gosh girl, please be careful about falling.  Between you and me we are a wreck waiting to happen.  Honey if there was only one hole dug in my yard, which is huge, it would be right where I am and can't see.  I think the same thing applies for you also!  I have been thinking about getting one of those buttons, "I've fallen and can't get up!"  I am like you, I have one knee that will pop out also, but two, omg!!  So I can almost get up, depending on how I fell.  But twice in 2 days, well I think I am pushing my luck and will be very careful for a bit now.  You do the same please.

It is after 11 already and I have just been able to get online because of a storm.  I have so much to do and can't sit up all nite.  My little angels are coming to spend the day tomorrow, the nite too I think.  I can't remember, I know they are going to spend the nite one nite this week.  Guess I will find out.  I know Kenzie want's some time with me just the 2 of us.  We always had such special "US" time and she misses that so much.  It is hard on her sharing me with Shaylin sometimes.  Even though she is so protective of her and takes care of her the way she does.  She still needs to have some special time just for her.  She was telling me about one day when Shaylin stayed with me and she and Mommie went to lunch and shopping.  It was such a special day she said.

I better see what I can get done.  I noticed in chat that it was taking awhile for my answers to post also.  Last nite I was able to post a few things then it wouldn't do anymore.  Everytime I clicked reply, nothing would happen.  I tried and tried on each post in that thread.  Nothing.  Then it just immediately sent me to Yahoo.  Was weird, so thought I would just give it up, maybe it was trying to tell me something, haha.

Hopefully tonite I will get more done.  At least I have talked to my buddy, but always do this first.  Starts my posting off good.

You take it easy and thanx for the advice.  Not old just mellowing.  Like that.

Lots of Love,

(deep sigh) gosh I am tired tonight. Kinda feel like I've been run through a wringer a couple of dozen times or something. Have been hashing through alot of stuff in my mind today and with my pain level being extremely high too, that just wears you down even faster.  I couldn't seem to get comfortable in my chair at the dominoes game tonight no matter what I did or how I wiggled around.  I even came home and got my power chair because sometimes it's easier on my back and neck than other chairs, but that didn't seem to help a lick. It just wasn't my day today -- we all have those days.  I'll get over it and be none the worse for the wear.
Well Dr. Cylene, I am REALLY glad to hear that your foot is feeling better!!  Just continue to take it easy on it for a few more days.....AND.....be careful!!!  LOL!!  I tell ya, I'm absolutely positive that someone could lock me in a room with thickly padded walls and ceilings and nothing in that room except for me, and I'd have something freaky happen where I'd end up getting hurt.  I keep a spare Ace bandage in the bottom of my purse!!  Does that tell you anything???  LMAO!!
Yes, nowadays you can't get house or renter's insurance without at least a $1,000. deductible on it unless you want to pay sky high premiums. I think it's pretty pitiful.  That and all of the additional waivers and riders that you have to carry on your insurance it's just insane.  There was some flooding in Sacramento a little over a year ago, when some levy's burst their seams and most of the folks homes that were involved are STILL fighting with their insurance companies over their claims.  Seems the insurance companies, all of a sudden, decided that those folks lived in a flood plane so they're claiming that they didn't have a flood insurance rider on the policies.  They're in court with most of them now, having to prove that the area they are in wasn't considered a flood plane until those levy's blew and the insurance companies changed the rules in mid-stream.  In the meantime, they can't touch what used to be their homes and the places are all molding and full of mildew.  They will have to completely rebuild if this ever gets settled, in their favor.  They are getting hit with stuff from the state now regarding dangerous mold and stuff.  It's been one thing after another for them with no end in sight.
I'll bet you do like your wood flooring!  I know I've always liked it. So much easier to maintain and no allergy probs with it either! I wish these places here had hardwood flooring.  It would be alot easier on all of us I think.  Oh well, a body can't have everything go it's way....LOL!  The owner's of this place are starting to build a new complex, similar to this one, only up in Grass Valley, well, on the outskirts of Grass Valley.  I've talked with one of them about it several times as I'm very interested in moving up there.  One of the first things he said about them is that they will all have hardwood floors.  I was sure glad to hear that.  I already know which cottage I want!  It's way out in the back with a gorgeous view that looks out over the valley for miles and miles. It's going to be close to 2 years yet before the place is ready to be leased up, but you can bet, I will be one of the first to move in there! I love it up that way.  It's not as "citified" as it is down here.  Heck, if I had my way about things I'd be very content with a little cabin out in the middle of some woods with a big fireplace that I used for heat. There wouldn't be anything fancy about it.  In fact, it would be really, really simple, I wouldn't mind at all.  I used to live like that and I loved it!  I was in seventh heaven.
I had DirecTV for several years and never had a lick of trouble with it.  There were some pretty rought storms that blew through that area of the country too, but that dish was mounted really steady and it never even once lost the signal.  I hope you will enjoy yours.  I miss that too, but they want an additional 100 dollars for drilling the hole for the wires to come into the place!  They won't give it back to you when you move out either, yet they won't let you take the dish with you. They never disconnect things and take them apart. They leave the hole in the building and make an extra 100 dollars when ever someone moves out whose got a dish.  Pretty crooked if you ask me.  That's the management company though!
LOL @ your comment about if there's an invisible hole in the ground you will surely find it!  Yep, you guessed it!  Me to!!  LOL!!!  My doc's have suggested that I get one of those "Help, I've fallen" buttons to wear, but I tell them it's cheaper for me to carry my cell phone in my pocket and they're happy to know that I have some way of calling for help.
The reason I can't get up if I fall down is because I have next to no knee caps left. Yes, slightly painful..LOL!!  We learn to make-do though.  I'm sure you know that.  There are times when I get to feeling pretty low and start questioning why God has let all of this stuff happen to me and why I have these diseases, but about the time that I get really low, I come upon someone who's alot worse off than I am and it brings me back to my senses.  I can handle all of this stuff.  Others may not be able to.  I don't know, but I sure do wish I could figure it all out.
Well m'dear......I'm about ready to nod off to sleep sitting here in my desk chair.  It's 1:18 A.M. and I need to get into bed.  I hope that by now you are sleeping well and having really sweet dreams.
Take care m'dear frined.
Much love,
Moki
