Oooops! I am really sorry for not reporting back after my doc's appt. I could have sworn I did! I'm sorry to have worried you. My blood work all came back pretty good. Lemme think here, my kidney and liver function was just a little on the low side, but she said she expected that because I've been sick again. We discussed some things we can do to try and build up my resistance again, because it's pretty obvious that my body isn't going to have a chance to do it on it's own. I've lost a few more pounds -- even though I'm still holding too much fluid. The weight loss is tapering off a bit, but the doc said she would like to see it slow down alot more. I mentioned that this months loss was probably due to me not being able to keep much outside of noodle soup in me and she just kind of giggled at me. My blood pressure has been running low the past few months and she said that once I get to feeling good again, she is going to change the dosage on my b/p meds and my thyroid meds. Because my thyroid makes my heart go crazy they can't change one med and not the other one. It really amazes me how much your thyroid affects the rest of your body. Geez, it's a good thing I have my aide, because I'm having trouble remembering most of the other stuff we talked about. However! I do remember the beautiful shoes the doc had on! LOL!! She's an absolutely, drop dead gorgeous woman and I'm sure she would look like a million bucks in a gunny sack! I tease her about being so slender and pretty and she teases me about my fingernails. She's one of those folks that bites her nails down into "the quick" and then suffers from doing it, where my nails grow like crazy and are stronger than any of the bones in my body. I always enjoy going to see this doc because she's got a pretty neat set-up with her office. There are several examining rooms, a breakroom, waiting room, office, lunch room, conference room and her office. The building is built around this spectacular tropical scene in the center of it. It's all enclosed and has several fountains, huge, lush plants, lots of flowering stuff and even alot of wild canaries! When she's done with an exam she usually has you move over into the conference room to talk things over with you. That room has 3 huge windows that look out over all the beautiful stuff in the middle of that building. It's very relaxing. If folks want to, they are welcome to go out in there and sit on any of the benches and just take it easy for a little while. Oh yeah, I always go out there. Anyway, I'm going ok, outside of the fact that I've got a virus that's been going around this area of the country and it takes alot of folks 3 - 4 weeks to completely get rid of it. She told me (and my aide) that I needed to rest and keep my legs up as much as possible until I started feeling better. She made a point of making sure my aide understood that point......bless her little heart. Dang her! LOL!! Well, I hope you have a good day today and that you don't over-do it with the little ones coming to stay with you again. WHAT??? You've cleaned out your email box??? Good grief gertie!! LOL!! Congratulations kiddo! Bet cha that was a relief huh? LOL! I'm the same way you are with tags. You can just NEVER have enough of them! There's always a need for at least one more...and then another, and another, and....................... Well m'dear....my "poor starving bird" is sitting here on my shoulder digging her little talons into me, bouncing up and down and hinting around that it's time for breakfast. She's just like having another little kid in this house I think! So, guess I should try to get a few more posts in and then go brew us something to eat. Create a good one for yourself today, but please take it easy, ok? Much love, Moki html & assembly by Risi J @ Sparks~please dont remove credits |
