I'm Cheryl or as most of my family call me Granky. My oldest granddaugther and I came up with that since I didn't want to be called Grandma; its cranky granny put together because at that time I was cranky. I have had a brain aneurysm which was operated on in 1998 and had a slight stroke during the surgery. The bones in my head are brittle from having osteoarthritis and so therefore did not close completely up. I have severe headaches, both migraine and from the pain left around the surgical area. I was also diagnosed with manic depression and put on disability in 2002 (I think) for that. I also have high blood pressure and high chloresterol. I can't write anymore so my husband has to do all my handwriting of checks, etc. for me. My memory is not great either.
I crochet and do some knitting for hobbies. I had to relearn how to do both after my surgery. It was frustrating at first but I finally got the hang of it again although I'm not as fast as I used to be.
I love to chat on the computer. It is my lifeline to the outside world because I don't drive anymore either, I don't get out very much. Just to go to town to WalMart and the grocery store are a treat for me. Every now and again my daugther will take me to the next town which has a mall and many good places to eat out. That is always a special treat for me.
I am a Reiki practioner. Which is a gift given to me by God and I thank him for it everyday. I'm also interested in nautral medicines. I make a linament of cayenne pepper and alcohol which helps sore muscles and arthritis pain. Only I can't use it on my head because it is too close to my eyes and you don't want it to get in your eyes lol. I have used comfrey leaves to set the bones in my sons broken foot. Numerous other things.
Well that's all I can think of at this time. Love & Light to you. Cheryl
