my son put some of my pictures in a zippered file in my picture section of my computer and I can't open it.  I asked my son about it and he doesn't know either.  OK he takes after me and does before he thinks.  I don't even know what pictures are in that file but I want to get them out.  Also he put some of my pictures in a regular folder and I can see them in the front.  But I don't want the pictures in a file.  They're too small to see.

shirley do you have windows xp on your computer?
 
it will be easier for you to solve the second question first.....
to get the picture file open to see them bigger. right click on the file you want to open then click open ....tha should open the file so you can look at all the pics in it....

a ZIP file (not zippered) is a compressed file. Compressing make the large files smaller to send quicker. You will need to use WinZip  or WinRAR to uncompress. Both have a free version, (it just keeps telling you to register).
 
When you uncompress your file will be it's original size. You will not be able to use this file until uncompressed. If using WinZip or WinRAR is too confusing, ask son to make files "Self-extracting". He should know how.
