I would like to wish upon a star

but they seem so very far

that I do not think they hear my plea

oh why won't the stars listen to me?

 

I call thier name in a little rhyme

that everyone is taught in time

star light, star bright

oh why can't you ease my fright?

 

but the stars don't hear my cry for help

so I have nothing to aid me, except for myself

 

Oh won't someone help me

I don't know what to do

I did not want to ask anyone

but now I'm asking you

won't you please help me on this miserable day?

all the pain and sadness just will not go away

I want someone to comfort me

and tell me it's alright

someone who will help me, so I can sleep at night

 

so will you please help me through all this sorrow

so that maybe, just maybe

I can smile at you tommorow?
