Rain

The sky outside is filled with gloom
As bleak as in a darkened room
the rain falls down upon my face
makes me speed up, my usual place
The dogs as damp as deep Tibet
Her paws are cold and soaking wet
We dry ourselves beside the fire
and watch the news that takes my Ire
Pictures of a distant War
I dont know what we went there for
I didn't vote for it Mr Blair
Though he does not know and does not care
The flag draped coffins coming home
widows and children all alone
Little black figures against the grey
there is something about the rain today.

Brilliant piece Mark!  It is all about the oil and I am against the war, Bush and have many friends in Canada, so keep up with the cbc news too.  I had the experience "when it rains it pours" myself for two months, only it was being attacked by circumstances.
