Hanging Out
by Don Tyson
Me and my pal were
just hanging out.
There was nothing else
I wanted to do.
Everything was going
down hill fast,
So we just sat there
together, Jose and me.
Jose didn't say nothing,
but I talked all night.
The longer I talked
the smaller Jose seemed to get.
'long 'bout midnight
Jose jus' up an' dishappeared.
He di'n' even shay g'night.
I fell 'sleep at the table,
An' woke up with a headache.
I saw Jose layin' there.
Right on top of the table,
He was empty as I felt.
Who's Jose, you ask?
My pal Jose Cuervo.
