Or am I demented
It might be fur to say
Now life is augmented
By sundry balls of fluff
With multicoloured hair
None of them is whole
They all need loving care

 

It started with a cat
(No pets allowed, you see)
Followed by another
Powered by battery
They miaow and purr
(Steve’s can even sit up)
And I wish we had room
For Biscuit, the golden pup

 

Furby mania was the thing
I didn’t think to plan for
14 from Ebay in one lot
And he still wants more!
Out comes the toolkit
To see if he can repair
Furby operating theatre
Is what I live in here

 

My engineer’s attention
Is now totally on fur
He’s either Furby mending
Or making the two cats purr
The plan’s to sell the Furbies
Or give them all away
But I’ve a nasty feeling
They’ll stay furever and a day
