A DAY IN THE LIFE OF TEDDY

CHAPTER ONE

The alarm clock goes off. Oh my God! My dream of my girlfriend and I in a daisy field suddenly turns into a nightmare of demons screaming in my ears. In my head I’m shouting ‘turn it off"! Finally it gets turned off and the bedcovers get pulled roughly. I roll onto the floor, open my eyes and stare up angrily. I can’t see anyone. It was probably Charlie making his little sister’s bed. I’ll teach him! I’ll punch his face so hard, he will like Frankenstein. Actually, come to think of it, I’m not that strong. I run to Katie’s mummy’s and daddy’s bedroom where I can see they have the same problem as I do because Katie’s and Charlie’s grandfather was staying for the night and he has a habit of getting very mixed up between his false teeth and a alarm clock because he hates alarm clocks so he would normally throw it on the floor when it went off then he would put in false teeth and get up. But lately he has been mixing them up so instead he would throw his false teeth on the floor and put the alarm clock in his mouth.

Suddenly, I hear the shower turn off. I run to the bathroom where I saw Katie (my owner) getting bathed. Katie’s mother then turns around and says "Oh how did you get here? Katie says, " I want to take him to breakfast and play choochoo. She then picks me up and crawls out of the bathroom

CHAPTER TWO.

When we get to the kitchen I can see that breakfast is already made and it’s…OH NO! CORNFLAKES I HATE CORNFLAKES! I would much rather Coco Pops than Cornflakes because, they’re all orange and mushy when you eat them. UURRGGH. Disgusting! Katie lets out a squeal of delight. Obviously she likes Cornflakes. I don’t know how she can eat them. But, before I can gently wriggle out of Katie’s clutches she rushes to the table. Then she starts playing her favorite game (what I mentioned earlier, the Choochoo thing) were she would say "hear comes the train open up the tunnel", l And then starts singing one for mummy, one for daddy, and fifty-two for you! She then starts forcing Cornflakes down my throat. GROSS!!

How about we skip the breakfast story, makes my tummy feel bad! After breakfast Katie takes me into the backyard and plays on her tricycle, it’s big and red. The sun shines off it with pride and it glares in my eyes. OUCH!! She hops on her tricycle and starts peddling fast. I feel my blood suddenly rushing to my head. I’m so dizzy that everything looks like a blur. Katie suddenly puts on the brakes and the tricycle lurches so hard I almost fall off! After a few hours of playing, we hear Katie’s mum announce "lunch time!! Come in for ` sandwiches and Ice cream.

CHAPTER THREE

The sandwiches are beautiful, vegemite and cheese, my favorite. Although melting fast, the ice cream is nice a nice treat on such a hot day. After lunch, we settled down for an afternoon nap, but Katie is wrestles because it’s such a hot day. So instead we go to the park. When we get to the park there are lots of children playing on the slides, swings and monkey bars. Katie automatically runs to the swings, puts me in one of the chairs and starts pushing it back and forth. This isn’t helping the headache I already have from the tricycle. Finally, she stops it, picks me up, and heads for the slide. This I won’t mind so much. She climbs up the ladder and pushes me down. Before I know what’s happening I have landed face down in the wet grass. She comes up to me and says,"Are you alright baby? While I am blushing I think?I guess this means from now on I will have to address her as mummy. Mummy’s mummy suddenly announces it was time to go home so mummy picks me up and with her mummy she leaves the park. By the time we get home it is getting dark and almost suppertime. We then have a quick dinner of beef and vegetables (which was rather hard to chew for someone who had stuffed teeth, which were recently, stitched on because Katie has lately bean playing a game called see how many teeth can you pull out of teddy’s mouth and we go off to bed. But just as I was falling asleep mummy’s daddy comes rushing in and tells us that there are some fire works going on outside to celebrate new year. By the time mummy and I are outside the rest of the family are already there and we are all wearing our PJ’S (apart from me and the only warmth I have is my night cap. All the sudden I hear a huge BANG!! In the sky I turn around and see a rainbow of colors in the sky. Suddenly there were three more explosions and then some more and soon the whole sky was filled with colors. Some of them even looked a bit like me! Then I hear a rustle in the bushes behind me. I turn around and see…OH NO!!! THE DREADED CAT FROM NEXTDOOR! It once chewed my whole ear off! His red eye’s glare at me but before he could pounce mummy’s daddy turned around and shooed it away thank goodness! But I realize it hasn’t gone far it has gone to get some more cats I guess they think I’m a rather large mouse.

CHAPTER FOUR

Luckily for me we don’t stay long enough for them to get me alone although I can see them in the bushes. It is very late I am tired and so is mummy so mummy’s mummy comes in to say goodnight and I fall asleep. The alarm clock goes off. And now another day.
