I just wanted to say hi to everyone here. I just joined and thought I would tell you a little about myself. I'm 25 and have been scrolling for about 10 years. I started selling things when I was 16-17 to classmates and teachers. I have an RBI scrollsaw (can't remember what model). I've scrolled throughout the years on numerous projects but never thought of it as a definite way to make money. But my boss at work (hardware store) is letting me display and sell things there. I haven't sold anything since I've set them up...but I'm not going to give up on it this time. I also want to tell all of you pattern makers out there was a wonderful job you do. I wish I had the talent to do what you do. Thanks for sharing!! Jerri |

Hi Jerri, Welcome to the club. Sounds like you will have a lot of good advice for everyone here with all those years of experience under your belt. Don't give up on selling your projects. It just takes someone who apppreciates art and a little time for word of mouth. Do you have a photo album on here yet? Look forward to seeing your work. Happy scrolling! Steve (scrollcrazy1) |

Jerri, I just had a peek in your album, and your work is beautiful!! This one 2007_12270022 is fantastic! It must have taken a huge amount of time, and an even larger amount of patience!! Very impressive! Connie |

Looks like you do a lot of work in Walnut, Jerri. Do you notice much of a color change in your walnut, wherever you get it? I've heard some say that Walnut from Indiana scrolls differently than that from Pa....plus they tell me IN Walnut is darker. Yes, No?

The only thing I've cut with Walnut so far has been Mom's quilt. I usually use birch and then stain it. When I was using the Walnut, I didn't notice any color changes in it. I'll have to look up the site where I ordered it from and get back to you on it. Jerri |
