If you have a cracked or busted stock and want to repair it, use Accraglas from Brownells and surgical tubing. You can get the tubing in two different sizes, also from Brownells. Or if you have a little lady that works in a hospital like mine she can get you some tubing cause they throw it away every day. Wrap the tubing around the repaired site and don't worry about it sticking to the epoxy, it will come right off. You can stretch it tight and put a lot of pressure on the repaired crack. You can even see epoxy being squeezed out and then you know you have it just right. Just tie it in a bow after you have it tight enough. Much better than trying to use C-clamps or wood workers clamps. Won't dent or hurt your stock either. Sarge |
