"Earning The Keep"

PEOPLE U/M: Lyle // Jacobs, Golden, Challenger
HPW RECORD: 00/00/00
OOC: Yeah, the final one. I believe it pretty much ties it all together. It's a nice finish if I do say so myself. So what is this now, like the fourteenth rp for the whole match? Wow. I would say that's a good turn out. For this match at least. All I can really say is, that was fun. lol

Defeat. Is one feeling that is not coursing through me at the moment. I feel many things at the moment, joy, vengefulness, anger, but one of them is definitely not defeat. Inaugural Brawl was just a match that anyone suspected it would be. I reguar, close to opening, match that nobody expected much from. To say that it exceeded standards would be a serious understatement. It was much more of a success than anyone watching or involved, would have expected it to be. The enmity during the match was to much for anyone to ignore. With each match, it radiated through the audience and sent a mental message to anyone sitting at home. Anticipation was an evident feeling.

The pillows hung tight as the night rolled on, and the end of it all could only be expressed with a deep sigh from anyone watching. The result wasn't known, and there was no clear cut winner before it took place, but when it was all said and done, there was no doubt.

"You're a funny man Challenger, you really are. Nothing compared to King Flip, but definitely funny. What makes you so funny, is the fact that you actually believe yourself when you say you can beat me one on one. You couldn't beat me in a tag match, when my partner was Tyler Jacobs, so what makes you believe you can beat me one on one? Maybe some of those lies that your new butt buddy has been filling your head with. Oh yes, of course, you and Dylan Fairservice are the best of buds now, aren't you? Pathetic, really. The only way you could actually get into the main event was to have an owner favor you. Oh yeah, cause that's right, you didn't actually make it to Final Four fair and square, now did you?"

"Oh, did a hit a bit of a nerve there, or do you care that people think of you as a fluke? Do you care that people believe you're not suppose to be in the Final Four? I believe so. Do you know how I know? Because it's true. You're not suppose to be here. Possibly Adam Meyer, maybe Jayden Gabriel if you hadn't gotten attacked, but not you. Not you, for the sole fact that it was Tyler Jacobs and I who eliminated you in the first place. If you couldn't get passed me the first time, what makes you think you can do it a second?"

"Tyler Jacobs and King Flip on the other hand, I will admit they have atleast some chance of defeating me. I've been in two matches with Tyler Jacobs, and both were under certain circumstances. The first was in Deathcore Wrestling, where we were both defeated by Ryan York in a Battle Royal. The second, well, actually, the second was when we eliminated you and Golden from making it to the main event. Little did we know you'd be back. So as you say, I can't say I've defeated Jacobs, so I can't say that he isn't the next World Heavyweight Champion. I've never looked across the ring, and looked into the man known as King Flip. Never in my life. No battle royals, and no tag team matches. I can't say I've defeated King Flip, so I can't say that he isn't the next World Heavyweight Champion. You on the other hand, you Challenger, well, we all know that you are a different story"

"Jacobs and Flip are supposed to be in the Final Four, they earned their keep. Jacobs and I beat you and Golden fair and square, for both of us to advance to the main event. There, is where we both made it into the Final Four. Underestimation can be your downfall sometimes, now can't it? King Flip and Jordan Randall defeated Trisha Carter and Chris Vaughn fair and square to go on to the main event. There, is where King Flip earned his spot on the final four. You on the other hand Challenger, it always comes back to you. First off, you lost your matchup with myself and Jacobs, eliminating you. Then Dylan Fairservice gives you a second chance, which you screw up again. The only reason its you in the Final Four and not Adam Meyer, is because Dylan Fairservice helped you out for a second time in a row that night. So you see Challenger, you're only here because Fairservice likes you. If you relied on skill like the rest of us, you would be back at the bottom, where you belong."

"Hmmm...I have to admit, this is far from a tag team match though. You won't have anyone to tag in if you feel tired. I won't have anyone to tag in if I feel tired. We're both left alone by ourselves, unless of course your little friend decides to join us down in the ring. If he does, I have a little surprise of my own, but that's another story altogether. My point is Challenger, there's not one to help you, and no one to help me. Don't get me wrong, as I've said before, through this whole thing, I still respect you. I might not respect the way you get things done, or the way you get to the top, but I still respect you, and the fact that you're willing to go to any lengths to get what you want. Determination is a good quality in a person."

"Alas, I believe that everything happens for a reson. There is a reason why you are in this match, and I just have to figure it out. The reason coule possibly be to dethrown me from my pinaccle, but then again if it was, then you might've done that when we first encountered each other. But yet again, I'm still here. Then again, so are you."

"Earning The Keep"

PEOPLE U/M: Aaron, Laz (Erik Rivers) // No one
HPW RECORD:
01/00/00
OOC: This is a joint between Damian and I, the guy who plays Laz. Part one of two if we get the energy to finish it. lol. Just a little something to get up. This should be interesting, we haven't played these characters in awhile, so we're a bit rusty. It was also hard because our writting styles kept clashing so we just went with the unknown narrator. Also, Damian let me burrow this layout, Im debating on keeping it or getting a new layout considering I lost almost everything for Aaron. Umm...yeah, enjoy getting to know Laz and Aaron, all over again.

Defeat. Is one feeling that is not coursing through me at the moment. I feel many things at the moment, joy, vengefulness, anger, but one of them is definitely not defeat. Inaugural Brawl was just a match that anyone suspected it would be. I reguar, close to opening, match that nobody expected much from. The pillows hung tight as the night rolled on, and the end of it all could only be expressed with a deep sigh from anyone watching. The result wasn't known, and there was no clear cut winner before it took place, but when it was all said and done, there was no doubt. There was no doubt in a single mind who had come out the victor, no doubt in anyones mind who deserved it more. It was obvious, that Challenger and Goldn weren't good enough to make it to the main event.

God had a different plan. No, wait, Dylan Fairservice had a different plan. It was his intention to see Michael Challenger advance to the main event. It was Jacob Corfield's intention to see that it wouldn't happen. Obviously the only person with "fair"ness in mind, was Corfield. Again, Fairservice had a mindset to see Challenger in the Final Four. Many ask the question, could Challenger have made it to the Final Four if Fairservice hadn't helped him out? Would he be able to pin Adam Meyer? My answer? No, because he was already eliminated in the first place.

"You're a funny man Challenger, you really are. Nothing compared to King Flip, but definitely funny. Although just a few days ago, I had spent a whole night in this very ring, it's where I found myself coming too. The squared circle, as many would call it. Gazing upon the blood stains on the ring, I realize that I can't point out the exact spot where I had put my stain. It was impossible for anyone to point it out. Realizing I wasn't the only one who gave all I had that night, it became clear to me that maybe I'm not the for sure pick in this Final Four match for the championship. All three other members have an equal chance, well, everyone but Challenger, of course.

"Oh, did a hit a bit of a nerve there, or do you care that people think of you as a fluke? Do you care that people believe you're not suppose to be in the Final Four? I believe so. Not you, for the sole fact that it was Tyler Jacobs and I who eliminated you in the first place. If you couldn't get passed me the first time, what makes you think you can do it a second?"

True, it wasn't exactly me who got the pin in the tag team qualifying match, but it might as well been. I say this with the least amount of arrogance possible, I am just flat out better than Tyler Jacobs, and without me, he wouldn't be where he is now. I'm not conceited or anything, it's just the way the world works. I do have to admit, he earned his keep, he earned his spot in the Final Four, fair and square. Which is more than what I could say for some people. Well, one person in particular. At this point, I'm pretty much just rubbing in the fact that Michael Challenger didn't make it in the first place, so why does he, why does Dylan Fairservice, think he can win the whole thing? A bit confusing, eh? I believe so.

"Tyler Jacobs and King Flip on the other hand, I will admit they have atleast some chance of defeating me. I've been in two matches with Tyler Jacobs, and both were under certain circumstances. "Earning The Keep"

PEOPLE U/M: Lyle  // Challenger, Corfield, Fairservice, Flip, Jacobs
HPW RECORD:
01/00/00
OOC: First of, well, I really don't know how many. lol. It depends on how I am feeling. I enjoyed writting this, and I rather like the way it turned out. Feedback is always welcome, and I'm sure this will turn out to be one hell of a match. Luck to my opponent, as always.

I can't say I've defeated King Flip, so I can't say that he isn't the next World Heavyweight Champion. You on the other hand, you Challenger, well, we all know that you are a different story"

It was a bit ironic when I first heard the news that Michael Challenger would be joining us in the main event. Irony is the opposite of what is known or expected. The one thing I did know about that whole match is the Michael Challenger would not be in the main event, not after our tag match. More irony, in the fact that Challenger would actually be joining me again, this time at the next Pay Per View in the search for the first HPW World Heavyweight Championship. Last bit of irony, he would be joining me once again, but this time in a one on one, No DQ, match up. The last thing I wanted to do is see Challenger again, and now I'm stuck with him at the PPV, and in a one on one match.

But is it really going to be a one on one match? Can anyone really assure me that this is just going to be a simple matchup between Challenger and I? I was assured that if a team was beaten at Inaugural Brawl, they would not be advancing to the main event, and look how that turned out. Can anyone look me in the eyes and tell me some random person will not attempt to sabotage this match? Dylan Fairservice, Jacob Corfield, Tyler Jacobs, King Flip, some random person in the audience, anyone of these people are suspected in attempts to sabotage this matchup. Afterall, this is a No DQ match, anything is legal, so you never really know what could happen.

Okay, you caught me, I lied, but anger can bring out irrational thoughts sometimes. Okay, Challenger wouldn't exactly start out at the bottom of the barrel, because he was never really there in the first place, but that's where I would choose to send him. He deserves to a little lesson on earning your prizes in this buisness, something he obviously hasn't had to do since becoming an HPW superstar. Anyone don't believe me, watch the Inaugural Brawl tape again.

Who knows? I have a habit of giving people the benefit of the doubt. It's possible that Challenger had no idea what was going one why Gabriel was "mysteriously" attacked backstage. Maybe Challenger had no idea what was happening when Fairservice put himself on Meyer, after Corfield had evened the odds. It is possible that Challenger is just along for the ride, but then again, what are the odds of that? I also have a habit of proving people wrong. Although I defeated Challenger at Inaugural Brawl, he believes he can defeat me in a one on one match. How about we put that theory to the test, and see if I stay true to my habit. This'll be interesting.

It was a very upsetting thought. I had already disposed of the man known as Michael Challenger, yet he still stood in the way of the title. The funniest thing about this whole situation, is he believes, with the help of Dylan Fairservice, that he can become the first HPW champion. Possibly. The only reason I say possibly is because he has Fairservice on his side, and I am not denying the fact that Dylan Fairservice is a very powerful man.

But Challenger obviously isn't, which pretty much brings us back to the point that he needs Fairservice to accomplish anything in this federation. Hmm...what an interesting thought. You eliminate Dylan Fairservice, Challenger goes down with him. You eliminate Michael Challenger, then Fairservice's involvement in the Final Four disappears with him. Interesting, very interesting. I may just have someone on my side afterall, but that's another story entirely.

The fact of the matter is, we earned our keep so by facing me, we'll see if you deserve yours.

Gone.
