Act II: "Banishment."

PEOPLE U/M: Lyle, Taxi Driver  // Abram, Jade, DC, Kim
BUD RECORD:
04/01/00
METHODS OF MADNESS: Continuing with this thing. Sorry for those who I haven't rplied to yet. I just had to get this one up first. There will be a last installement, wether it be before or after the deadline.

We all know the story of Romeo and Juliet, or, atleast let's hope you payed attention in English. For those of you who didn't understand the Shakespearean language that is was written in. Here's a short synopsis that pertains to the following. Romeo and Juliet's familys are involved in a heated fued. Romeo and Juliet fall in love, although they are supposed to hate each other. Tybalt, Juliet's cousin, kills Romeo's best friend, Mercutio, which enrages Romeo, in turn causing him to kill Tybalt. Because of this killing, Romeo is banished, while Juliet and a Friar come up with a plan to fake Juliet's death, and the two would be together. Romeo doesn't get the message, kills himself, and then Juliet kills herself, The end.

Zarek hadn't been in the BUD arena ever since he left Abram after Hangover. It's almost as if he had been banished from the arena. He had slid a letter under someone's door, still unknown as to who, and then left the aren,a never to return. The BUD roster has been going psycho with rumors, and the pair's partners have been worried. Not because Jade or Zarek could be hurt, but more because their ass is on the line. The scene opens on a gloomy day, the location unknown, but somewhere in the city. Zarek is standing on a curb, in pants and a jacket. He reaches into his pocket, pulling out a phone. He dials a number and then puts the phone to his hear, earing ringing.

The phone stops ringing and Abram picks up the phone, "Zarek, where the hell have you been?"

Zarek immediatly begins to explain, without giving to much away, "Okay Abram, just listen to me. I am totally fine, and there is nothing to worry about. I just was calling to tell you I'm alright."

A deep sigh is heard through the phone, "I don't know what you have gotten yourself into, but you better be back here this time"

"Of course I'll be back, I'm not that stupid. But I can't say where I am"

Another deep sigh is heard, followed by Abram's angry tone, "What do you mean you can't say?"

Zarek laughes at how frantic Abram is getting. He found it funny that he was freaking out over something that was so small, "I mean I can't say, it's not that hard to understand." Zarek laughes again.

Abram however, did not find the situation very funny, "Are you in jail or something?"

"No I'm not in jail" Another laugh from Zarek.

The rest of the conversation isn't heard, due to a semi passing by. Zarek hangs up the phone and slips it back into his pocket. He stares at the street before rasing his hand, calling for a taxi. He puts his hood up, feeling the drops of water upon his head. A taxi drives up beside him, and Zarek reluctantly opens the door.

Zarek steps into the taxi cab, takes a seat, and closes the door. "The train station, please."

Looking back in his mirror, the driver looks at Zarek for a bit before speaking up, "This is going to seem really wierd, but aren't you that one guy? Zarek Lyle, from BUD?"

Zarek smiled a bit, amused that someone actually recognized him, "That's what some people call me..."

The taxi driver's attitude suddenly changes and acts like he has just met a celebrity, "Wow, I knew it was you. Right when you stepped into the taxi, I knew I had seen you somewhere."

Zarek smiled to himself again, almost unable to control his laughter. This guy was acting like he was something big, when in Zarek's mind, he was far from it. He had been wrestling for BUD for not even a month, and had occupied indy feds before then, so Zarek wasn't used to be recognized. Thinking on it, Zarek was becoming something big, wasn't he? Capturing the THC Championship, and the BUDvision Championship within less than a month of being signed. That was something to be proud of.

Capturing the THC Championship, and the BUDvision Championship within less than a month of being signed. That was something to be proud of.

"Yeah, can you just keep it down a bit, and not tell anyone I'm here? I'm kind of trying to keep a low profile" Zarek looked up into the mirror, attempting to catch the taxi driver's eyes, to let him know how severe the situation was.

The taxi driver realized that Zarek really didn't want people knowing he was there, and respected his wishes. "Oh yes, of course." The taxi driver then calmed down a bit, realizing that he was over-reacting. "So Mr. Lyle, where have you been lately? You've got the whole BUD roster thinking you're off somewhere with Jade. Not to mention DC and Kim are going crazy."

Zarek sighes a bit, knowing full well that his absence had more of an effect on certain people than he had expected it too. "Yes, yes, I know, and I never meant for any of that to happen. People just take things and run with it, you know? It's not my fault"

The taxi driver knodded, knowing exactly what Zarek was talking about, "So what do you plan on doing? I know you have something going on with Jade, although I think Abram has the hots for Kim. By the way, does Abram even know what you've been doing?"

The taxi driver looked a bit inquisitive. Zarek didn't even know why he was telling all of his stories to this random driver, it just came out. Zarek had held so much inside, with no one to talk to, for the past days, that he just sort of spilled his guts. Besides, riding in a taxi kind of had that effect on people. That effect that when you are asked a question by the driver, you just let it spill, no matter how personal it was. Zarek was feeling that right about now.

Zarek laughed, knowing the Abram must be going through hell right about now with everyone asking him where Zarek was. He could just see Abram now with everyone burdening him, and Abram going crazy with all of the questions. "No, contrary to popular belief, Abram has no idea where I am. He just knows that I'm out somewhere, and I've promised to be back in time for my match."

"Well that's not what everyone else believes. Have you been watching the promos everyone has been cutting?" At a stop, the taxi driver turned around when asking this question.

Zarek shruged, "I haven't seen them all, but I've been catching some here, and there, care to fill me in?"

The taxi driver gets all into it, taking his hands off the wheel. The taxi seems to be stuck in traffic, so it doesn't matter if he has his hands on the wheel or not. "Well for one, DC has been cutting promos left and right..."

"Oh yeah, I saw a few of those. Where he keeps repeating himself about who he beat over in PWT. About how he beat SFM and Christian Michaels, about how he beat DVD, which in my opinion, really has no value over here. Let's here some superstars that are under BUD contract that he has defeated. Is DSL on hislist? How about Justin Black? Matt Matlock, possibly? What about all within a months time, can he say that about his career? I really don't know. He's in the BUD Hall of Fame, yet all he seems to be talking about is stuff from other companies. Why would he bring in stuff from other companies, in attempting to gain credibility? If he tells me some names that reside here, then maybe he'll get the respect he deserves." Zarek sort of shurgs it off. In Zarek's opinion, this "legend" has done nothing to show him what a legend he is. Talking of PWT, gives you nothing.

The taxi driver is a bit taken aback by Zarek's words, but also impressed "Wow Zarek, those are some strong words for a BUD legend. You really have no respect for him, do you?"

Zarek's attitude turns around, feeling he is being misunderstood yet again. "No, no, no. Don't get me wrong, I understand that DC is a legend here in BUD for a reason, my point is, that he has yet to show me that reason. I know he's been around for a long time, and I respect the fact that's he's been going strong for so long, but that's not going to stop me from breaking him from his path."

"What do you mean his path?" The taxi driver looks a little confused.

Zarek laughes, "Ahh...I thought you were the one who watched the promos and not I. DC talks of some sort of path he is on to regain the BUD Heavyweight Championship that he held. My path, at the moment, is to kick him off this path. It's nothing personal, it's just what I do. Truth be told, I am not looking for a Heavyweight title shot, I haven't even been here for a month. Besides, even if I wanted to join the chase for the Heavyweight Championship, I wouldn't be able too. I believe there's a rule about not being able to hold any other title, and I don't plan on giving up the BUDvision Championship anytime soon. Now, I'm not saying DC won't become champion again, all I am saying, is that being put in this match, it is my job to win, and knock him down a couple of spaces, so that is goal will only be delayed."

"Ahh...and what about Jade?" A smile came across the taxi driver's face, knowing this to be a hard question for Zarek.

It's the question that everyone was dying to know. What about Jade? Everyone knew that Zarek had no problem going up against DC, and everyone knew that Jade had no problem going up against Kim, but what if the two were tagged, and forced to face each other? What would happen fi their partner's were out, and it came time for them to go head to head? What then?

"What about Jade? Jade is a strong woman, and I know she can take care of herself. I'm sure we'll try our bests to only fight our respective opponents, but if it comes down to the wire...well..." Zarek pauses for a moment, "Then I suppose we'll both have to make the most of it."

The taxi driver knodded and turned around, in order to check if traffic and moved, it hadn't "I feel sorry for you Zarek, forced to go up against the one person you'd rather not. It's straight out of a storybook."

"Yeah, well. That's life I suppose."

Attempting to change the subject, the taxi driver remembers the free-for-all last week, "By the way, I really admire you're courage last week, going up against all of those veterans, plus coming out on top"

Zarek shurgs again, and puts on a smile, not really knowing how to explain the victory. "I just consider myself lucky. Yeah, skill was apart of it, but luck was another. It was all depending on who tossed who over, and I just happened to be the object of hardly anyone's desire to toss over."

The taxi driver was in awe of Zarek's modesty "Still that was amazing. How do you plan to outdo yourself this week?"

Zarek looked out, and the traffic was still not moving, it didn't seem like it was ever going to move. Zarek reached into his pocket, still thinking about the question, and pulls out some money. He didn't know how to answer the question, because well, this was a good question really. How did he plan on out doing himself this week? Of course, the answer was staring him in the face.

"I'm going to get out here, thanks." Zarek gets out of the taxi, and tosses the driver a wad of cash. Before shutting the door and walks off, Zarek answers, "Oh, and how do I plan on out doing myself?" Zarek answers simply, "Defeating a legend..."

Blackout.
