Doesn't the Gingerbread Man Get Eaten at the End of the Story?

He talks a big game.

He attacks his biggest competition.

He thinks he's hot shit.

But the only thing he's proven thus far, is that he's Scott Addams' biggest fan.

As time has proven, at the first sight of trouble, Scott Addams' has always shown his true colors. Whenever there was a flash of competition, you would find Addam's heading out the door. Why do you think he has so many negative things to say about Chicago? Because he couldn't hang, he knew it, and he bailed. So Scott Andrew has decided to take a page out of his book, and run for cover at the first sign of trouble. This time around, trouble's name just happens to be Zarek Lyle. The one thing that Andrew will never have over Addams, is that Addams was never afraid to step into the ring against Lyle. Andrew on the other hand, well you've just heard his words. Zarek throws out a future challenge, (keep in mind it wasn't even a challenge for the folowing show, just a challenge for a date to be set sometime in the future) and the next thing you know, Andrew is running his mouth to McCallister. Hmm...it's intiguing, no doubt. How Andrew can act so tough when Zarek's back is turned, but when they come face to face, the front of Scott's pants mysteriously becomes wet. Wierd how that happens. This tough punk on campus runs away when a challenge is laid out. Courage is a rare thing nowadays, eh?

Blah.

"You act tough when there's a weapon in your hand, and I'm in a match against someone else, but when it comes down to it, you're nothing but a chicken shit. Seriously though, S.A.? Can you really call what I offered out to you a challenge in the first place? All I said was that I will be meeting you in the ring, sooner or later, wether you like it or not. I don't really care what McCallister and you talked about. You heard some rumors that you might be going up against me sooner than you thought, and you basically crapped your pants. Understandable. You obviously know you crossed a line when you blindsided me, and it would appear that you also know that you're screwed. Why else would you be ducking me like no other? You 'took me out' while my back was turned Andrew, you really thnk you'll be able to do the same when I'm actually facing towards you? No, I think even you know that you don't stand a chance. Your confidence fails you here Andrew. You talk a big game, but you take it all back, and your true terrified self shows through when you deny me any sort of match. McCallister's not stupid S.A., I know this. Let's pretend for one second that you did have his support, he does stand behind you. I still have to climb the ladder in order to get a shot at my Cyber TV title, now don't I? You're on the list. So even if Taylor is behind you, you won't be able to duck me forever, hombre."

"Your blinded by your massive ego, that I'm sure might even give Addams' a run for his money. Ducking me forever, Andrew? Please. Give yourself an injection of reality, just for a second. Then you claim yourself not to be a coward, you just run from competition at all, I see. You're a buisness man, or so you say. A buisness man would find himself in a better situation than you are now, Scott. You would have taken me out for a lot longer, you would have ensured that I wouldn't be coming for you, maybe even blamed Tani somehow for you attacking me. If you were a buisness man, or atleast a good one, I wouldn't be on your trail right now. Yet, here we are. I know what buisness is Scott, but it would appear that you can't tell the difference between it, and stupidity. Attacking me = stupid. You left an opening in your plan, and you're obviously going to get messed over because of it. So now you're admitting that you might get hurt, if Taylor goes ahead with this match? Well, the truth comes out now. You bring in these so called 'ratings' and you said something along the lines of if Taylor wants ratings then he won't go ahead with this show, because then there would be no Scott Andrew. Something along the lines. So you admit, you're scared. You don't know what to do with yourself. I find it laughable."

"You have better things to do with your life, than deal with me? Yet, you found yourself in the ring that night, attacking me from behind. Why weren't you doing something better with your life at that time? Face it Andrew, your life revolves around standing next to people like me and Addams, hoping that maybe some talent rays will make their way over to you. The only way you could even get yourself noticed is by making an appear in MY match. On the other hand, I didn't have to interfere in a high profile match in order to get noticed. I came into this company, took charge, took what I wanted. That's how I got where I was, not by attempting to feed of others. Even Addams' has worked harder than you, and even Addams' is better than you. Did you not listen to me the first time Andrew? I told you that you can have your fun with Addams or DSL, I really don't care. However, no matter what you do, I'll be there, making sure you know how low you are. If Addams wins, you won't be able to beat him. If DSL wins, you definitely won't be the next champion. You'll remain on the list until I knock your ass out."

"One more thing. I never claimed to be a 'baby face', Scott. Even Addams knows that. Since you've pissed me off, you'll find out just how far from the mold I can stray. Maybe I will go kill this Jason Flair character, but no matter what I do, I will get a hold of you, wether you like it or not."

He closes one eye, aims, and pulls the trigger of his hand-made pistol. The death of Scott Andrew's so called glory.

Static.

This tough punk on campus runs away when a challenge is laid out. Courage is a rare thing nowadays, eh?

The scene opens to a plain and simple backdrop. Just Zarek Lyle, a man who hadn't ever been seen much around ICWA despite holding a title, up until a few days ago, sitting in what appears to be some sort of directors chair. There's nothing but black on the walls behind him, more than likely some sort of black curtain hung there for the effect. He sits there, his arms folded across his chest, a slight smile on his face as if he was actually glad to be there, his shoulder looking more barren than ever. It seemed, at least for now, that there might always be something missing whenever Zarek cut a promo, walked down the ramp, or was just sighted hanging out around the area. On his way towards reclaiming what he had lost, he had made a sort of hit list. The first name that needed to be crossed off at all costs, what Scott Andrew. Zarek had always been an outright man. If he was some sort of assassin, there's no doubt you would find Zarek at your door telling you that he, himself, would be killing you in some bizaire way within the next couple of days. Depeing on who you were, he might even apologize. Of course, if it was Scott Andrew's door that Zarek happened to show up at, he would be getting no apology.

In the wrestling industry, you're always going to have that one person who is scared shitless of your ability. The one person who secretly goes back to their locker room and watches your match, their face only inches from the television screen, hoping they'll never have to come face to face with you in the ring. Not only that, but they probably study you nonstop. They have tapes of you in the indys, maybe even further back. The ones who know, deep down, that you can destroy anyone you get your hands on. In BUD, it was Drew Stevenson who constantly ducked Zarek. Given, he was also under cover of facepaint, and a new name, Misery. Apparently Misery was pretty damn intimidating, if not even Drew Stevenson, in his deepest thoughts, wanted to meet him in the ring. Nobody would agree that Zarek is intimidating. Not by looks, maybe by ability. There in lies the fear. Andrew fears what Zarek can do if it's just down to the two of them in a wrestling ring. He knows full well he wouldn't walk out as the victor...maybe not even walk out.

There's no doubt about it, however humble Zarek may be at times, there's simply no denying the fact that the Canadian Dream is a bit out of his league at the moment. That's the best I can do without being totally arrogant. I may be a biased narrator, but even the most neatrul person would be able to see this. Canadian Dream competing against people like Scott Addams', DSL, Zarek Lyle? You've got to admire his heart though, or maybe his ego rather, whichever has gotten him this far. Obviously, without one of them, he never would have gotten where he is. Rumor is he's getting a Cyber Television shot sooner rather than later. Good for him. But future Cyber Television Champ? Not likely. Zarek's chump? More like it.

If Addams wins, you won't be able to beat him. If DSL wins, you definitely won't be the next champion. You'll remain on the list until I knock your ass out. Face facts Andrew, running only prolonges the inevitable."

Even if Andrew was able to continue running after these next couple weeks, he'd still get tired eventually. When he did, and his legs stopped moving, Zarek would be there, looking him straight in the eyes. That's what the real men do these days, not attack from behind with a weapon. Then again, Andrew still is kind of a kid, however grown-up his mistakes may be. Zarek forms one of his hands into a pistol shape.

He closes one eye, aims, and pulls the trigger of his imaginary pistol. The death of Scott Andrew's so called glory.

Run, run, as fast as you can, but you can be caught and you will be killed.
