Today's "Marriage" Scripture (by Jason Hunt) *November 8, 2008*

Proverbs 18:22

The man who finds a wife finds a treasure,
And he receives favour from the Lord.

Do you treat your wives like treasure, wives; do you feel treasured? Whenever my daughter would get a new pair of shoes she would always make sure they were well taken care of. She would ask me not to put my shoes on top of them lest they get scuffed, she wouldn't wear them unless the weather was appropriate. The wet wipes would come out and her shoes received a good cleaning prior to each wearing. The shoes were the hot topic of each conversation and she filled with excitement when she thought of them.

A wife is an exquisite treasure from God. A man has favor from the Lord when he finds a wife. Our helpmates need to feel treasured, unappreciated treasure just becomes common place and familiar. God blessed us with five senses; use each of those senses to appreciate your treasure and make her feel chosen each and everyday.

- Look at your wife like she is the most beautiful woman in the world, set your eyes on no other woman because God has given you all your flesh needs.
- Listen attentively to her needs and spirit, she is your suitable helper and treasure. Her needs are your needs. Turn off the T.V. And have a conversation.
- Song of Solomon 1:2 Kiss me and kiss me again, for your love is sweeter than wine.; 4:11 Your lips are as sweet as nectar, my bride.Honey and milk are under your tongue.Savor your wife, do not neglect her intimate needs. Eat her cooking too.
- Lay hands on your wife, let her know how much you need and love her with your touch. Melt her like chocolate with a soothing caress.
- Allow yourself to be drawn to her scent, tell her how good she smells. Buy her perfume, bubble bath and soaps. Light a scented candle to enhance your intimate moments.

Lord of Creation, thank You for my treasure, my wife. Thank You for blessing me with the favor I have today because of my wife. God help us to treat our wives as precious treasure, irreplaceable and invaluable. May You be honored and Glorified by our marriages.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
