I am starting this question thread with Jack's opening statement from his post of: From: muffin (Original Message) | Sent: 3/23/2003 5:29 PM | How important is obedience? How exacting is God? Must we take His commandments seriously? What about observing the exact letter of God’s requirements? Remember that a person cannot keep the spirit of God’s commandments while breaking the letter. Many feel the keeping of the Sabbath commandment is unimportant and that God will no one accountable for failure to keep the Seventh day when it is so extremely inconvenient. | Now Jack has bodly stated that only 7th day Sabbath keepers will be saved. Now I don't know about all of you, but I take this very seriously. I want to be saved. So, if I must keep this day to be saved, I must surely need to keep it right, according to the Word of God, don't you agree? So I am calling on everyone to join in this discussion and prove by the Word of God is this is true or not- but mainly this thread is for those who believe this to SHOW US BY THE WORD OF GOD THE CORRECT WAY TO KEEP THIS DAY HOLY. I myself have been doing some studying into this subject and have written some things which I found in the Word of God, commandments given by GOD TO MOSES. I will transfer them to this thread. But I am asking all Sabbath Keepers, all who believe this to show us Scritpure exactly how to do this thing. Don't come telling us what your church says, what you say, what your neighbor said, Nope! I want what God said; what Moses said; what Jesus said; Paul or Peter or any other Scripture written said. That is all I will accept. Here is one of the things I found out in my studying this subject: Neh. 10: 28. And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the Nethinims, and all they that had separated themselves from the people of the lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every one having knowledge, and having understanding; 29. They clave to their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God's law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the Lord our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes; 30. And that we would not give our daughters unto the people of the land, nor take their daughters for our sons: 31. And if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the sabbath, or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt. 32. Also we made ordinances for us, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God; 33. For the shewbread, and for the continual meat offering, and for the continual burnt offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.
13: 15. In those days saw I in Judah some treading wine presses on the sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and lading asses; as also wine, grapes, and figs, and all manner of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day: and I testified against them in the day wherein they sold victuals. (ever go out to eat on Sat. ? If so you are sinning; you are buying selling food on this day; this is forbidden) You are guilty if you buy from those who sell on this day. Better take this seriously; or you are guilty. 16. There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem. 17. Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day? 18. Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city? yet ye bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the sabbath. (see if you do this you too are profaning the sabbath and bringing evil upon yourself; wrath) 19. And it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the gates should be shut, and charged that they should not be opened till after the sabbath: and some of my servants set I at the gates, that there should no burden be brought in on the sabbath day. 20. So the merchants and sellers of all kind of ware lodged without Jerusalem once or twice. 21. Then I testified against them, and said unto them, Why lodge ye about the wall? if ye do so again, I will lay hands on you. From that time forth came they no more on the sabbath. 22. And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of thy mercy. Now, this shows how diligent Nehemiah was in seeing that the Sabbath was kept right. He told them that misusing it was what had gotten their Fathers into so much trouble with God. So now he wanted to do it right. He did not want trouble on them again. Now I say to all you sabbath keepers, you had better do the same thing. If it was right then, it is right now. If God punished them then, he will do it now. If you think you must keep this day, you had better get to keeping it right. You had better do as Nehemiah did and see that it is carried out right or God will send you into captivity and stone you to death.

Peter was given a vision on a roof, about what was now lawful to eat and he had no problem changing was he at one time reverence observed to the letter. I trust that God will be the one to confirm or convict what is truth and what is not the will of God at the given time, by God for each and every individual. Please read the whole chapter of acts 10.First Peter did not eat the forbidden food was trying to understand the meaning of the vision and found that Gentiles nu also were included to God's people who were disregarded by the Jews as unclean. Yes, I have read the rest of the chapter, I and I do know what it says, but I was just condensing to make a point in a sentence. And by doing so give the false interpretation that could be used to eat forbidden food and even denying that the commandments of God are not for us to follow anymore. This is totally against the meaning of this chapter I didn't think I had to include every single detail. I think you should have. For the reason I have mentioned above? Personal I believe that we are all living totally in the day of GRACE. How blessed are we, that all we are told to do is love God with all our heart, and with all our might...(might be the wrong word ??? Yes, I are what??? Sorry this can be misunderstood Thanks for the correction, but, I get the point, and the message of that particular scripture. Haven't you every amplified or paraphrased when exchanging thoughts with someone? Well probably not, but I do. Not be willfully alter the meaning of the text to prove a point because than I try to change the meaning of the word of God. and to love our neighbor as ourselves. In doing this we will keep all God's ways and be blessed by Him.This seeking salvation by works and will not work . Are you really loving your neighbor as your selves without the help of the Holy Spirit? Salvation will only be given to people who totally trust in Jesus Christ follow His teachings and keep the commandments of God. There is absolutely no other way. And according to Jesus only a few Will find and follow Him the way to eternal life. Jack. We all error, Mr. Muffin. And if you think you don't sin nor error than you are deceived. I sin also the commandments are to point out sin so I can go to my saviour and ask for forgiveness and he will forgive me. Totally trusting in Jesus and totally following His teachings and keeping His commandments is a task that is not met to excellence by anyone, except the Lord Jesus .I have pointed out to you many times. I don't think there will be one person, when Jesus comes back who will be able to say that they were able to totally trust, follow, or keep His commandments .God has given the commandment to point out sin and offer through the Holy Spirit the power to overcome sin this is not in a instant but is a progressing proses preparing for the New earth when we will sin no more. Your interpretation of A FEW may be not as small as you think. Jesus tell us that it will be a few not me. We humans judge a person from the outside, by appearance, but God judges from the inside, the heart, the motive, the passion, but mostly by LOVE. Now that's the hard one to LOVE as Jesus said to do. | Jack. |

No!! You learn to deal with individuals as individuals, and not all as worthy of your vicious rebukes. You are to temper your responses with wisdom. Some people, who may be bitter enemies of the Gospel, can best be reached through a soft spoken word of encouragement, or a simple, humble reply of truth. You need to discern when it is appropriate to use sharp rebuke, as opposed to a soft and kindly reply. Perhaps you should study the following verse more closely: (Beffers) If people are watching this community closely they already know that it is BEFFERS who is always hurling out the hateful, ugly words of sharp rebuke and ugly lying accusations. But this does not matter does it? because it is hurled at someone teaching New Testament teachings and not O.T. Law keeping. You have a lot of room to talk, I must say. If you could only read with an open mind your ugly remarks which follow me all over the place trying to black me to everyone JUST BECAUSE I TEACH TRUTH YOU HATE. You cannot and will not find where I say this kind of evil against people. When I said speak with your gaurd up and your sword out, I meant speaking the TRUTH OF GOD WITHOUT COMPROMISE. and that is just what I do. I meant don't soften down the real TRUTH OF GOD WITHOUT WHICH THERE IS NO SALVATION. Softening down, or 'watering down' the truth of God will only lead more souls into HELL FIRE. NOW I CALL THAT EVIL - NOT TELLING THEM THE TRUTH. I CALL TELLING THE TRUTH L O V E. Call it evil if you must. Now you just turn it around and make evil of it. That is your way. You never understand one single spiritual thing. I was not speaking of saying ugly stuff to any individual as you are always doing to me. Just because I teach truth which the whole church world and their 'preachers' laid down to get popularity and money,, and this makes people uncomfortable because they do not want to hear, learn or obey this truth, is NOT SAYING EVIL AGAINST THAT PERSON. Now that is a distinction you know nothing about. My answers are speaking the Word of God in truth. I do not go around calling people here ugly stuff, condemning them with ugly twists of words as you do me continually. I say you should look at your own heart, mouth, and REPENT. |

- John- 6:58
- This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.
| - 6:59
- These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.
| - 6:60
- Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?
| - 6:61
- When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?
| - 6:62
- What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
| - 6:63
- It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
| - 6:64
- But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
| - 6:65
- And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
| - 6:66
- From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
| - 6:67
- Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
| - 6:68
- Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

Acts 5:42---And DAILY in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ. Now, there is the New Testament day to worship and keep holy; all of them. This said they CEASED NOT TO TEACH AND PREACH EVERY DAY. When the new testament Christians looked into the truth and saw that God had changed everything from the 10% thing in the Old Testament, to 100% in the New Covenant, most of them backed out and decided to stay with the Old Covenant---to the lose of their own soul.

If Jesus changed HOW Moses said to keep the Sabbath, he also changed what the Sabbath is. Now that is something you all very much need to learn. You are keeping yourselves in an old, dead, decayed covenant which has no life in it, which God did away with. This causes you to be in open rebellion and defiance of the Living God you claim to serve. You are totaly rejecting the true Rest, the True Sabbath GIVEN TO US BY JESUS. How did so many people FALL FROM GRACE? I just don't get it. Why go back to the burden of law when Grace and mercy is available to you? You are trampling the blood and grace of Jesus under your feet. There is only damnation for those who do this. Lord Jesus, Pray you will open their EYES. Jo |

Neither Saturday nor Sunday satisfies God today: it is all or nothing. Now, for another Witness of this: Heb.3:13---But exhort one another DAILY, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. Now, that is what happens to those of you who only want to do this one day a week: you become hardened through decietfulness of sin. Another witness: 11Cor.11:28--Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me DAILY, the care of all the churches. Now, this shows Paul was into church work every day. Acts 19:9---But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he (Paul)--departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing DAILY in the school of one Tyrannun. v10---And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks. Now, this shows that Paul taught every day for two whole years. |

Mt 6:11 - Give us this day our daily bread. ( We must be fed daily, not just on a Saturday or a Sunday.) Mr 14:49 - I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled. ( Jesus went in the temple daily. Not just on the Sabbath.) Lu 9:23 - And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. ( Taking up our cross means we must die daily to the things of the world. This is just not a Saturday or Sunday thing but a daily thing. 1Co 15:31 - I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. ( SEE HOW PAUL TOOK UP HIS CROSS DAILY AND DIED OUT TO THE THINGS OF THE WORLD. People if Paul had to do it daily then why do some of you say that this is just a Saturday or Sunday thing? It is to be done daily.) Ac 2:46 - And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, ( We have to break bread and eat the meat of God's word daily. We need to study the word of God on a daily basis. This is our daily bread (food for the soul) Ac 2:47 - Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. ( See praising God is something we should do every day of our lives. Not just when we go to church on a Saturday or Sunday. When we do this daily God will add to his church. Ac 5:42 - And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ. ( See we are to teach and preach Jesus Christ daily, IN OUR HOMES AND EVERY WHERE WE GO WE ARE TO PROCLAIM THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST TO THE PEOPLE THAT WE RUN INTO EVERY DAY NOT JUST WHEN WE GO TO SOME TEMPLE OR BUILDING. |

(Isaiah) This is a very good message Isaiah. And I dare say the above Scripture is one of the MAIN reasons people desire to cling to that one day a week law - because they really do NOT WISH TO SERVE GOD- THEY DO NOT WISH TO SERVE GOD DAILY- THEY DO NOT WISH TO HAVE TO WITNESS OUTSIDE THEIR LITTLE FOUR WALLS OF THOSE WHO ARE ALL TOGETHER FOR SOME REASON OTHER THAN TRUE WORSHIP- They feel at ease with this social gathering - but no sir. They are NOT GOING to witness outside this little gathering; they are ashamed-- they are too proud- they do not have the Spirit for it. So they hide behind this little social gathering one day a week and scream we are keeping the Sabbath, therefore we are sanctified - and delivered to live our life to suit ourselves 6 days a week. No they are not going to feed daily, nor break bread daily, nor witness daily. Maybe God will give out His rewards on a 10 % basis as they tried to live it. Lord let me bear 100% fruit and receive 100% reward! Let me live for you DAILY. I love you Lord Jesus, The Son of -- of -- of -- the Living God. |
