Hi there,

I know Joi reads the King James, only, as she has said, but I read a few translations, and compare the scriptures, expecially in the OT.  I also enjoy the the amplifidied translation, so I don't think anything is wrong with the NKJ translation.

God bless you

I personally am 'leary' or anything modern day men have tampered with.  I do not see where God needed to 'move' on anyone to 'add' to the correctly translated KJV.

You all need to realize that the original KJV was our very first true translation into English.  Men gave their lives; they were imprisoned, beaten, driven away from their countries, and all sorts of evil done to them because of their work on translating the Word of God into English for us.  Satan faught this because he did not want the world to know the truth.

Now once we were given the truth, why change it?  Just think.  Why change it?  Where was any persecution from Satan's workers because of changing the Word?  There has been none.  Satan is perfectly content to have 'broad-minded, up-to date, wordly minded people tampering with the Truth.  In fact, I fully believe they are 'satan' inspired;  not God-inspired.

They set out the change 'vital' things; add to the word; change the word; take away from it.  Therefore, it has to be a work of satan to distort truth.  If one has the truth, why change it?  why study something else?  We have absolutely no proof or way of knowing that God moved on these modern day men to go about changing God's Word.

But see when those Godly men of the past were moved on by God, they were bringing the Word to the common people for the first time since the days of the Apostles.  When that Apostolic church was gone, the Catholic false church came in and did away with the Word of God. They would kill people if they were found with a Bible.

The people were taugh only in Latin; the priests turned his backs to the congregration and chanted in Latin.  It kept the people in total darkness.  But men were moved on by God, and were willing to give their lives to bring the Word to the common people.

So why is this modern day bunch feeling any move to 'up and change ' this work?  I say it is Satan in reversal - since he can't get rid of the true Book anymore, he changes everone's (except a few who know the truth) thinking and they believe the Word needs to be 'modernized'.

Well, I say NO.  At least not for myself.  I refuse these modern -day changed words.  I see no need for them except to water down the real truth.  It will take people away from straight, Holy Ghost Salvation.

I cannot say it is 'wrong' to read them.  But I believe it will take you away from straight truth.

Jo

Satan has always faught the true Word of God and always will.  When people deviate, I say it is Satan leading them astray from light.
I have just read one who claims the Catholic Bible is the true one and yet at the same time claims they are the anti-chirst and the beast?  Go figure?

Why did God give them the true Word and not us?  Yet they are anti-chirst and we the true Christians?  Wow.  such twisted thinking.

If God gave a true translation into English, then why move on others to  CHANGE THIS TRUE VERSION?  And I say if the KFV is not a true version then where is one?  We do not have one if that one is not right.  What did the saints have to go by 300 years ago?  1000 years ago?  My me.

Hi Joie,

I can certainly appreciate what you are saying.  It isn't difficult to get to mistrust man, who may be listening to the devil.  I have concluded though that I trust God.  I trust God to lead me.  I trust the Holy Spirit.  My faith is in Him.  And because I was not, and cannot be a fly on the wall in the rooms of evil, to determine for myself, what the devil is scheming and planning, I must trust Jesus.

I have found some differences in scriptures, but the devine message is the same.

I would not say one is better than the other, let the Spirit of God lead you.
