Remember James Bond - 007 - with a licence to kill

He's changed his face through the years and stopped smoking but he is still an assassin

No one has a "Licence to Kill"

I'm not talking about soldiers here - I am talking about some people who have the idea - or Ps and Ns and Ss and others like them who think they can do what they like when they like without consequence to themselves

I don't know what sets them off to think they can do what they like to whom they like whenever they like and keep repeating their actions

We say "What goes round comes around" - but what does this mean?

I think that people who behave badly eventually do have to face themselves - for some - it's God - for others - their conscience might catch up with them - for others - they have to confront their past in prison where some prisoners are worse than them

And some die

I believe I will be judged by God and this is my conviction - I'm not telling anyone else this

But no one can tell -but I did have an interesting insight years ago when I was watching a programme on Near Death Experiences

And most people who have NDEs do have wonderful experiences that live on - it happened to me

But people who have not been very nice have seen the darker side - hell - with screaming demons and bad imagery

The people who had seen this had changed their ways

So it's there somewhere - the universe has its ways of sorting out the "going around" and the "coming around"

There is no licence to kill

There is no licence to treat people badly

There is no licence to wreck life and property

I'm raving

Sparky

Nicely written,,,I hope you are right////said thing when people do not "get whats coming to them", cuz what they have done is not really illegal.......what I am saying, someone can destroy your life and still not be prosecutable.....hope that saying is true.

Hi Vera

I really do believe that eventually people who wilfully injured other people's well-being eventually do have to face the consequences

There is no victimless crime - someone always has to pay

I guess some people start early as children and manage to get away with stacks of bad behaviour without any seeming consequences

But I really do believe everyone gets what they deservse - one way or another

I believe Narcisists/psychopaths etc have already "gotten theirs". Imagine how horrible it must be to have the inability to love somebody else. . .or how horrible it must be to never feel compassion for anybody. It is one of the primary things that makes us human . . . and narcissists/psychopaths are lacking this ability.

It must be awful to not have a conscience or to have any REAL feelings but I dont feel that P/Ns suffer as a result ot this as they know no difference-------but I know what you mean as it is their loss. But as they are born like this and nothing can change that, are they REALLY responsible for their actions?? I dont like thinking like that as I want to make them responsible and want to make them see things and I still struggle with why can't they change when they see what they are doing-------but I know that they don't see and so will never change.

It must be terrible to have no consience - those people have no rudder - no control - it would be a nightmare from which they wake up from time to time but return to

I had a couple of prescriptions drugs interact badly many years ago - and I knew something was wrong but not what it was

It is still clear in my mind and the person who stayed with me through this really evil trip told me I was rational - but for me I was falling about the universe without anyone to help me but God

I can't imagine what it would be like to swing around like that with no grappling hook or anchor to hold something in a mind that seems to go the same way - like time

Those of us born with an inner compass that helps us to be honest and not hurt people often do not know that there are other ways for people to live and I think those without a conscience sometimes do know what is happening is wrong - but they can never stay "sane" long enough to find their way home

My sister was diagnosed with antisocial p. disorder in the early 80's when she was 18.  No conscience.  Stealing, etc. but she has suffered the consequences.  Stds, rotten teeth, horrible credit, lost custody of her kids, etc.  I am older but she looks 10 yrs older than me.  Her body has suffered the ravages of binge-eating, anorexia, alcoholism, etc.
After she turned 40, like the textbooks say, she seemed to settle down.  However, she has the maturity and people skills of a 20 yr old.  That is what was lost for living purely for her own pleasures.
All her jokes, memories, etc are decades old.  I know what she is going to say before she says it.  Part of it is because we are sisters, but a big part is because she has lost 2 decades of her life.
