It is Halloween Eve and the invitations have been sent with the request no costumes be worn.   The  Smokie Mountains loom above the clearing beside the waterfall.  The air is slightly frosty and the trees have turned a brilliant red, yellow , and brown.   Signs have been st to mark the path to the waterfall and Trina has volunteered to greet the guest as they arrive.  Trina is dressed in jeans , turtleneck and a heavy brown sweater holding a special wand I have given her that was loaned to me by the water sprites.  I'm dressed in jeans and wool bue and green plaid shirt.  I take my leave of Trina telling her when the last guest comes to follow them to the party.

The first guest to arrive is Camper.  He is dressed in his casual clothes except for the green fright mask.  Oh well, no problem.  Here comes Val , Boni, and Charlie, all in their regular clothes as requested.  Muriel , Paulkeen, and Tweety arrive.  Trina has them all gather in froont of the waterfall and with a wave of the wand,  the falls part like a curtain revealing a dimly lit passage behind it.  Trina tells everyone to go down the passage where they will find  the party.  The guest go down the passage while Trina remains behind to wait on some special guest.

The passage is lit by green orbs held in place by a skeletal hand protruding through the rock walls.  The breeze blowing through the tunnel makes an erie moaning sound.  Ater walking about 50 yards, the passage opens up into a clearing where an old Georgian mansion set on the otherside.  The mansion is just a shadow of it former splendor.  The large columns that hold up the the second floor balcony are cracked and the paint mostly peeled away.  The balcony most of the railing has rotted away and paint all but gone on the beautiful french doors.  The roof is mostly intact except for a few slate shingles around the chimneys.  Gray Ghost is sitting on the porch in an old wicker chair that looks like it would finish unraveling at any minute.  Though the porch doesn't look to stable, Gray get up and greets the guest.  As the guests climb the stone steps and gather on the porch that seems pretty unstable, Gray flings open the old double doors that look as if they may crumble to touch them with the the large brass knocker on each door that are black from tarnish.  The guest are amazed  as the see a grand ballroom with highly polished oak floors, Velvet marroon curtains  on the large windows , a large firleplace with a mantle of Italian marble with the figures of Venus and Aphrodite guilded in gold on each side of the mantle,  and huge mahogany tables that foot men were setting out  refreshments between the large crystal punch bowls with crystal cups hanging along it's rim.
