                                                        The Master Eye

The Master Eye is your dominate eye or the eye you aim with.  Most people are right eye dominate if they are right-handed and left if left-handed.  However, there are many that have a cross dominate eye which is right- handed with  a left dominant eye or left-handed with a right dominant eye.  It is always preferable to have a bow that matches your dominant eye meaning if you left eye is dominant then shoot left-handed and vice versa.

You can find your Master Eye by :  With both eyes open point to a distant object, close one eye, then open your eye and close the other eye.  The eye that stays aligned with what you were pointing at is your Master Eye.

Most will find learning to shoot a bow with your non dominate hand not to difficult to master.  However, those that find it too awkward can close one eye which will put the eye you are aiming with right behind string.  Shooting with the non dominate eye will lose you some depth perception which will effect accurately judging distance and closing the other will narrow your field of view,so, you will not see as much coming in from one side.    There are many hunters that close one eye and are very accurate bringing down game.  Shooting from Master Eye will give you even better accuracy.                                                                                                                            Gray Ghost
