Alot of places are doing Year-End awards for wrestling. So I figured it'd be interesting to provide the categories from my favorite news-site and let all yawl put who you think desevres that award. You can also add in a reason if you want. Also anyone from ROH, TNA, & any of the three WWE brands are eligible

For Guys - The Diva You'd Most Like To Sleep(  ) With: Lita. Like you even had to wonder who I was going to say?

Buried Alive Award (Most misused superstar of 2006): Matt Hardy. For most of the year he was buried until he finally got put into the feud with Gregory Helms. And its really a shame because on most of the episodes of Smackdown where Matt was in a match, he got one of the strongest pops of the night. Thank God for Jeff's return as its only helped Matt get a lil bit more of a semi-push.....Though its crap his brother has ta come back ta make sure he continues to get a bit of a push.

Good Guy Award (Best Face of 2006): HBK. He's a guy that had trouble getting heel heat against Hulk Hogan last year. So you know he's a hell of a face. Then this year the feud with the McMahons and eventual reunion of DX.....Shawn was definately the best face of 2006 in my opinion.

Da Bad Guy Award (Best Heel 2006): Edge. I came into this year hating him due to the Hardy angle last year. But then I started to warm-up to Edge. And everytime I would he'd find a way to make me want for someone to kick his ass.

Best Mic Skills 2006: DX. You really can't beat Shawn an Triple H on the mic together. especially with their comedy skits (No matter what some idgits like Road Dogg an Billy Gunn say). I mean just find a tape of them impersonating Shane an Vince or when they talked about Cocky. A close second is ECW's The Zombie

Worst Mic Skills 2006: Rey Mysterio. For whatever reason I can't stand it when he's got a mic.

Most Embarrassing Moment 2006: The Outlaws calling DX lame.....and then going and doing even more childish antics than DX was doing. Outlaws throwing water balloons at a Target store? My case is rested

Wrestler of the Year 2006: Edge. I'm going with Edge because he kicked off the year by winning the WWE title, had the highest rated segement on Raw in five years, had an awesome match with Mick Foley at Wrestlemania, had a summer WWE  title reign, is feuding with DX, and is somewhere in the teens on his tag title reigns now.

Most Memorable Moment 2006: Cena giving Edge an FU off a table through two tables. That moment sticks out more for me than any other this past year. That was the one time that the FU has actually impressed me.

Comeback Wrestler of 2006: Jeff Hardy. Say what you will about the guy, but he's been on fire since he's come back. Not to mention he's gotten a couple Intercontinental title reigns, is having an excellent feud with Johnny Nitro, and has reunited on several ocasions with Matt as the Hardyz

Jabroni of the Year 2006 (Dumbass pretty much): Kurt Angle. He's released by the WWE so he can get his life in order and instead slaps Vince in the face by signing with TNA. Nuff said.

Match of the Year 2006: Money In The Bank @ Wrestlemania 22. This match had a very interesting array of superstars in it and they all came together to put on a  hell of a show in that match.

Feud of the Year 2006: John Cena vs Edge. This was a toughy, but I give the edge (sure, the pun is intended), to Cena an Edge. They had an awesome feud for the better part of this year.

Worst Commentator of 2006: I haven't really seen one.

He Works Hard For Da Money Award 2006 (From what I can g ather its who you think worked the hardest for his pay in 2006): John Cena. The guy has worked his ass off this year! He's wrestled on at least two of the WWE's three shows a couple times this year, had all this media stuff going on, and just all around been a busy sombitch

Newbie Award 2006: Johnny Nitro. he may have actually debuted in like 2004 but he was sent back down to OVW til near the end of last year. Then this year he had a breakout year.

Pink Slip Award (Who shoulda been fired in 2006): Whoever decided ta give Rey Mysterio  the World HEAVYWEIGHT title.

Comeback Award (What wrestler currently out of the business did you most wanna see comeback): Chris Jericho. Y2J comeback dammit!

Breakout Star of 2007 (Who do you think will have an incredible 2007?): I think Johnny Nitro is going to have an even better 2007 than he did 2006.

The Diva You'd Most Like To Sleep With: Stephanie McMahon, But since she's not active, Melina

Buried Alive Award (Most misused superstar of 2006): Eddie Guerrero's Legacy

Good Guy Award (Best Face of 2006): John Cena

Da Bad Guy Award (Best Heel 2006): Kurt Angle

Best Mic Skills 2006: Triple H

Worst Mic Skills 2006:  The Great Kahli

Most Embarrassing Moment/ Stupidest Decision 2006: Kurt Angle writing Vince McMahon a public Love Letter basicaly, only to turn around and trash McMahon and the WWE almost immediatly upon arriving to TNA.

Wrestler of the Year 2006: Shawn Michaels

Most Memorable Moment 2006: Edge beating Cena for the title at New Years Revolution

Comeback Wrestler of 2006: Ric Flair

Jabroni of the Year 2006 (Dumbass pretty much): As per every year, The Internet Community. After that, Jim "We don't hand son in laws titles here, By the way have the world title Jarrett" Cornette followed by Rob Van "I finally get the strap and say thank you by being pulled over for speeding while high and not seeing the problem" Dam.

Match of the Year 2006: Kurt Angle V.S. The Undertaker - No Way Out

Feud of the Year 2006: Shawn Michaels V.S. Vince McMahon and in turn DX V.S. The McMahons.

Worst Commentator of 2006: Don West

He Works Hard For Da Money Award 2006: Ric Flair - At nearly sixty years of age the man hard a Hardcore match with Bigshow where he was thrown around on Thumbtacts, he worked a couple of Ladder matches, he's bled on countless occasions this year, sacraficed himself for the Rated RKO bit, Worked a great feud with Edge and Lita, carried a team of out of shape, unable to work Legends (bar Ron Simmons), and as former 16 time Champion, feuded a bunch of male cheerleaders. All while going through a divorce, dealing with the IRS, and having his road rage issues.

Newbie Award 2006: Nobody who's fresh to wrestling in 2006 stands out for me, but fresh to the WWE is CM Punk.

Pink Slip Award (Who shoulda been fired in 2006): Hulk Hogan (As per every year)

Comeback Award (What wrestler currently out of the business did you most wanna see comeback): Randy Savage

Breakout Star of 2007 (Who do you think will have an incredible 2007?): CM Punk

Lol, it seems like none of you have seen anything outside of the WWE. LOL. CM Punk has been a wrestler for several years. He has held the world title in OVW and more importantly the RoH. (RoH title was voted by PWI as the most prized title in wrestling)  Punk is by no means a newbie.

Furthermore, There were som many mathces and feuds outside of the WWE that were so worht a watch. honestly you guys need to check out the indy scene, there is so much talent out there that is just amazing.

CM Punk is getting voted "Newbie" because he's their opinion as the best newbie in the WWE. Being voted best "Newbie" doesn't have to mean its his rookie year. Much like I explained with my resoning behind Nitro for my pick.

And as for not watching much outside of WWE, I really don't. I watch the WWE and Memphis Wrestling. Thats because TNA doesn't interest me and I don't have the money to be buying dvds from ROH all the time. Plus the only reason I'm going to get any is if I decide to get the Matt Hardy appearances. So I'm just voting with what I've seen. But I'm fairly certain that DVD watches more than the WWE so he prolly knows a good bit of all those other great matches and talents. But apparently it was the WWE stuff that he felt was the best of the year. And Taylor is also justs omeone who prefers ta watch the WWE over any the other stuff out there really. Doesn't mean we're blind to it.

For Guys - The Diva You'd Most Like To Sleep(  ) With:  Victoria (Damn that girl is HOT!!)

Buried Alive Award (Most misused superstar of 2006): I'd have to agree with Taylor on this one and say Matt Hardy - Yeah it does suck you would only get a push if your brother returned to action.

Good Guy Award (Best Face of 2006): HBK - Only because the guy is good at what he does, and the fans love him. You see, I liked him when he was heel too, but the guy is more in tuned with the fans, and always has been . So HBK now with DX, is the best face of 2006

Da Bad Guy Award (Best Heel 2006):  Triple H.  While he was heel, I felt he was the best heel of 2006. He was always wanting to stir up some kind of shit, and I would have to give it to him. Edge comes in second in my opinion.

Best Mic Skills 2006: Triple H

Worst Mic Skills 2006:  Lashley

Most Embarrassing Moment/ Stupidest Decision 2006:  Bringing back ECW....Pointless!!  Leave them all in WWE and let them battle it out there Jesus!!

Wrestler of the Year 2006: Triple H

Most Memorable Moment 2006: StoneCold Steve Austin nailing the stunner on all the McMahon family on Saturday Nights Main Event!!

Comeback Wrestler of 2006: Jeff Hardy - Now this guy has just been better than ever. It is nice to see him teamed with Matt again. However I am more of a fan on him in singles action. But welcome back Jeff.

Jabroni of the Year 2006 (Dumbass pretty much): Kurt Angle. What a pathetic show of idiocy. As Johnathan said, you come out and tell the world and WWE that your taking pain killers cause of wrestling cause your hurting night after night, and then you sign with TNA? Your a fucked up individual where WWE gave you everything, Kurt just lost my respect.

Match of the Year 2006: Id have to say Edge vs Mick Foley at Summerslam. Now that was a match plain and simple.

Feud of the Year 2006: DX vs The McMahons. I know it hasnt gone on the whole year of 2006 but I felt that was the best feud ever.

Worst Commentator of 2006: JBL - If he didnt have a back injury or whatever the cause is, I think he would be better back in the ring. Lay off the commentating JBL.

He Works Hard For Da Money Award 2006 (From what I can g ather its who you think worked the hardest for his pay in 2006): Ric Flair. This guy is fucking amazing for his age. Night after night he does all he can just to entertain. The Old geiser at 60 years old is still wrestling today when others like Hulk Hogan only make semi appearances. Fuck you to Hulk on running away. But Ric, gets my vote, and I look forward to seeing him go for as long as he can.

Newbie Award 2006: The Boogeyman - Man I like this guy. I am glad he came back, and I like his gimmick. I look forward to seeing more from him as his future continues.

Pink Slip Award (Who shoulda been fired in 2006): Kenny and all the Spirit Squad - Can you say BORING...I thought you could!!

Comeback Award (What wrestler currently out of the business did you most wanna see comeback): Ultimate Warrior

Breakout Star of 2007 (Who do you think will have an incredible 2007?): CM Punk

I watched TNA, I thought It was terrible, and I stopped. TNA Does not, has not, and probably will not entertain me. .... No I take that back, It entertained me for a little while when it first came out and was Pay Per View exclusive... A LIITLE while.

I'm not buying a hundred DVD's a year so I can watch ROH. If they're as good as everyone swears they are then eventually they'll get a national TV slot and I'll see it then. Til that happens, Not interested.

I watch the local Indy scene, but I'm not nominating "Pumpkin Master" Johnny Swift V.S. The Jihad as match of the year, Not to mention it specifically says ROH, TNA, and WWE Talent eligable... It doesn't say "Random Indy Fed X".

I am fully aware CM punk's been around for quite sometime. But unless you're in the WWE, You're irrelevent. That's right, Unless you can make it to the WWE, You do not matter in my opinion. Myself included. Eric described it best. The WWE is the pros, anything prior to the WWE is simpy College. I don't watch College sports and I don't follow anything outside of the WWE that isn't local. I don't like CZW, I don't care about ROH, and TNA is - In my opinion - An autrocity.

And ya know, Not for nothing, But I've just about had it with people telling me what I should and shouldn't like. I'm going to state this one more time... I Like the WWE. Period. End of discussion. This form was to reflect Our opinions. Your opinion is that a bunch of guys who I probably won't ever see (because Like I said, I only watch the WWE and the Local Indies) are the best in their respective fields and that Vince McMahon is trash. That's your opinion and I respect it as such and thus am not swaying it or attempting to sound as if I'm in some way superior by suggesting your picks aren't "good enough"... I'd appreciate that same curtosey. Especially considering that the criticisim of my opinions is coming from a guy who implicated that the man who was easily the most influentual to the business, and gave us the Industry in the form that it's in today, should be "fired".

Thanks.

Yeah, I knew that CM Punk wasn't new to the wrestling scene, but he was just recently brought to ECW a few months back, and in my eyes, he is a newbie.  Just because he had been doing the Indy thing for so long means nothing to me.  hell, I don't even like the guy to be honest, but to me, the choices came down between two people...him or the Boogeyman...and to me, the choice wasn't that difficult.

It's just like when a baseball player is in the minor leagues for like 5 years, and finally gets the call up to the big time...he's a rookie for the first year that he was there.  The facts are that anything other than WWE, ECW, or to some instint TNA....it's the minor leagues in my eyes.  I really don't watch TNA, or WWE for that matter, even though if I do watch a wrestling show, then 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of the time it will be a WWE event.

I see why Taylor went on his little tirade in that other thread.  You guys trying to call someone out because they give their opinion's on a subject is ridiculous.
