Okay Folks;
This is the last official posting on the Brainstorming board. After this Janie will remove this board from circulation.
The recipient of this week's brainstorming, starting tomorrow, will be Anya, with "Noah MASON" posted 1/14/2003. Like Brooke the data Anya has provided is very scanty and needs to be updated, and she has not responded to Carolyn's queries. A gist of Anya's brickwall follows:
Noah MASON b. 1782, Mendon Worcester County Mass. d. 18 Nov 1834, Sangamon Co., IL m. Lucinda STETSON
Lucinda STETSON b. d. Children: ??? Salient Quotes: "He moved his large family....to Sangamon County IL and lived there until he died....I cannot locate his parents or siblings. I know he was bond to a hard master from which he ran away age 14 to the life of a sailor but I haven't been able to locate his birth record. Or even any record of his being a sailor. I would like to know where I might find a death record for him....(and) the name of his parents."
Its been fun, cheers, Wayne

Thanks for your concern, yes the brainstorming did help some but no exact leads. I really need to locate Noah Masons death record in Illinois where would I begin? He died November 18, 1834 in Sangamon County either Chatham or Aubrn Illinois he lived on a farm between the two so its not really clear which town he truly resided in. Maybe his death record would have the name of his parents. Thanks for any ideas Anna Hutton |
