Well, Thursday came and went and Wayne and Melody didn't tell me! (Where does the time go??) Having seen no replies from Neyeh, we move on to PJ and her brick wall. Sorry, PJ - I think I may have missed your turn before. You posted this message on 6/30/02: From: PJR (Original Message) | Sent: 6/30/2002 12:07 AM | Seeking information on my grandmother Nannie C. Rose-Pinkston. b 8/27/1878 , d 12/24/1938 in DeKalb, Illinois, married 12/3/1893 in Washington County, Ky, to Richard Pinkston, my grandfather. I have been told that her name might be Nancy Rose & her father might be George Rose. I cannot find anything to show this information. Would appreciate any help I can get. Thank you P.J. Pinkston/Raymond | I know that PJ took a spill sometime back and is still recuperating, but we hope that she will respond to anything posted in her behalf by Wednesday, 2/19/03. Good luck, PJ! |

PJ;
I really thought a name like Nannie woulod be an easy search--fooled again!. There are gobs of Nannies out there and sub-gobs (is that a word?) of Nannie Roses-'s--many of them in KY. It seems that the name Nannie Rose derives from Colonial times.
Anyway I did some searching and found some records which are definitely your gal and family and a few that may be. Cheers Masugu

By the children's information, this family should have been in Kentucky in 1910. I used the 1910 Kentucky Census Miracode in every way I could think of, and could not find this family. I even ran searches for only Richard and Nannie and Richard and Nancy, with no other information given. I came up with nothing. I also ran searches for only Richard and Kenneth, and tried Richard and Granville, as well as Richard and Elmer. Are you certain that Nannie is the mother to all the children listed [q]. It looks like Nannie died in 1938. Have you sent for her death certificate information PINKSTON NANNIE C N/S UNK 0000374 1938-12-29 DE KALB PINKSTON RICAHRD MUD M/W Y-77 0001177 1949-01-07 DE KALB wondering if Grundy could be a link PINKSTON GRUNDY M/W Y-50 0010033 1935-03-24 DE KALB DE KALB PINKSTON JAMES W M/W UNK 0190220 1926-07-28 DE KALB DE KALB 26-07-30 well, just decided to past them all PINKSTON A C M/W UNK 0010986 1917-11-05 DE KALB DE KALB 17-11-07 PINKSTON ANNA N/S UNK 0000073 1939-03-23 DE KALB - - PINKSTON DAVID R M/W UNK 0032857 1947-08-23 DE KALB DE KALB CITY - - PINKSTON GARNETT C M/W UNK 0041902 1945-11-06 DE KALB DE KALB TWP - - PINKSTON GRUNDY M/W Y-50 0010033 1935-03-24 DE KALB DE KALB - - PINKSTON JAMES W M/W UNK 0190220 1926-07-28 DE KALB DE KALB 26-07-30 PINKSTON LILLIE B F/W UNK 0000327 1943-10-06 DE KALB DE KALB CITY - - PINKSTON MARY F/W UNK 0013535 1918-11-13 DE KALB DE KALB 18-11-25 PINKSTON NANNIE C N/S UNK 0000374 1938-12-29 DE KALB - - PINKSTON PHYLLIS ELANIE F/W UNK 0190068 1926-03-08 DE KALB DE KALB 26-03-15 PINKSTON RICAHRD MUD M/W Y-77 0001177 1949-01-07 DE KALB 49-01-0 |
