My 2 Uncles;
1. Howard Davis died between may 1990-june 1992
from blod clot abt a month after colon cancer surgery, was in the army between WW2 and Pearl .
born oct 1920 Crawford co.IL parents Samuel Hendricks Davis and Nora Ellen Crozier,Davis. Wife Helen Hummell from Barrington ,IL2 dau. Lida Kay b 1946,Susan b.abt.1953
2. John Davis  in the navy in the Korean War and the reconstruction of the Phillipine Islands on the in the PT- boat crew ,got  head wound which bothered him from when he got it when he first got on the ??Island, died ap.1969(hung himself because he couldn`t take the constant headaches and nothing the drs. did worked.He wasn`t living with his wife and children then.I dont know where he was living at that time,but rented a room that belonged to a womens house could have been attached. she found him.
His wife(? ex) a younger sister to Helen Hummell) Judy Hummell. 2 children; Johnny(3rd generation of John Davis`s)born abt.1956,Jennie born between summer of 1957-before winter of 1958  lived in the country on the Hummell property in Barrrington.,1950`s -1960`s.
He was on the crew of the construction of the building of  the village of Barrington Hts. before he was recalled back by the navy on the reconstruction  in the Phillipine Islands and after.
