Christopher was born around 1833 in Sangamon County, Illinois. He was the son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Stevens) Orendorff. The area were he was born was later Logan County, Illinois.
Questions I Have:
1. When did Christopher Orendorff die?
2. Where is Christopher buried?
3. Who are the parents of William A. Martin?
4. Where in OH was he born?
5. When did William die?
6. Where did William die?
Some answers:
1. I know that Christopher obviously died before 1866 in Logan County, Illinois.
2. There is a chance that a stone is not in the cemetery and there is no death cert.
3. I have had no luck finding Wm in the 1850 census... Maybe I am just missing him
4. Maybe if I could find the 1850 census I could find the father in the 1840 census to get a better idea of where birth occurred
5. William died between 1870 and 1880--- he was in the 1870 census, but not in the 1880
6. This could be in Logan or Pike County... Not sure if the family moved to Pike before or after William's death...
Any help on finding the answers to the above questions would be greatly appreciated!
