Hello. My name is Nancy and I am new to IKK site.  I am trying to find anything on  my g.g.grandparents, John and Mary McDole, from Murfreesboro, Jackson County, Il.  area around 1870's. They had about 6-9 children, some of which were named : Mary Elizabeth (Bettie) who married a Joseph  Ashabranner  from Arkansas, Riley McDole  who married a Nancy Sickle, and my gr.grandfater,
John Thomas McDole, who married a Nancy Vanover from Ky., and settled in Mississippi Co., Arkansas.I'm trying to find out if there are any buriel  or death record for any of them. Or any newspaper articles, land records, etc.  I will be appreciative for any help I receive. Thanks,
Nancy
P.S.  I will be glad to return the favor, if anyone needs info in the central MO area.

you may want to contact Molly Kennedy for this death certificate.  It looks like it could be your John.  Also, I believe Riley is actually John Riley McDole.

There was a John Riley McDole who registered for the draft in Mississippi Co. Ark  He said he was supporting his parents.  His birth date was Dec 12, 1886.

Looks like I was in the wrong generation.  It helps to have approximate birthdates.  But I found Joseph and Bettie in the 1880 census.  Bettie and her brother J T. (John Thomas) were both born in Tennessee, according to that census.

Frances "Fannie" Ann Wiseman b. 22 Aug 1853, Sumner County, TN, m. 30 Jan 1873, in Sumner County, TN, Felix McDole.  He would have been pretty young.

Thanks Melody,
The McDole family in Dickson County , TN , is my McDole Family.  My G.Grandpa was the younger John. I cannot really place them after they moved to Illinois. I know that
his sister, Bettie , his brother Riley and John (J.T.) all were living in Mississippi County. I don't know for sure when they arrived there, or who else came with. I'm having trouble finding anything on John or his wife, Nancy . There are so many John McDole's, its hard to know who is who.I know Nancy was born in KY., everything points to Daviess County. Not sure . Thanks again for your help.

Nancy
