Hi Bubba,
I did a quick 1870 census search for Clingers in Edgar Co. and found two in Paris, Illinois.  So did a Google search to see if there is a Presbyterian Church there, and there is.  Maybe someone at the church could tell you more.

PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH 217-465-5118

241 WEST COURT STREET, PARIS, IL 61944

Melody,

I just came across your reply of 8/28/04 to my inquiry of 7/19/04.  You are very quick, and I appreciate it and the great information.  Please excuse my delay in "discovering" your reply.  I do not know how or why I missed it.  But, at least we made contact.  Thanks for your consideration.

Bubba

Maybe you could glean some information from this article...enough to work with census records to trace down names and locations, and possibly find your church cemetery.

Also possibly a look at  the book "History of Edgar County 1879" might give you some clues.  It is offered on microfilm.  It was written not long after the cemetery was moved.

Been looking at Edgar Co myself seeking Information on George W. Hess they sent me this site for information.  www.comwares.net/ecgl   I know I found his name listed 1818 and 1828  but it is Ancestory.com and can't pay the fee right now.  I was on it earlier and there is a fee for them to search for census info. So I am thinking it over.  There is a Vermilion Co., IL site that I believe has Presbyterian Church on it also, but I believe it is only history, do not exactly remember.
