I will do lookups for certain cemetaries in Illinois. I live in Taylorville Christian Co. In this area I can do look ups for most cemetaries. Also I can do look ups for Tower Hill Cemetaries..ie. Knob. Old Methodist, Tower Hill Cemetary, Old German Cemetary. Etc. I also can do look ups if anyone needs them for Southern Illinois, around Belle Rive, Dahlgren and McLeansboro areas. Sugar Camp Cemetary. Anyone interested is welcome to send me an email or post.Hope I can help someone! Criss

Criss ,
I am looking for Cole family members from Fayette , Christian County.  You are in Taylorville?

That is right near where we need info .  John Cole  was my husband's great  great Grandfather . He died 7/10/1870  He is buried in Hurricane . His wife Rutha Caroline  died 8/29/1865 . She is also buried in Hurricane.  Is it possible to search for markers? , Can you get pics? If I give you the details on the other familt members can You assist me with them ?
I am sooo excited to find someone in Taylorville.  Is there anything I can do for you. I have  an Ancestry acocunt.  I am located in AZ  Got any needs here , locally?
I will remiburse you for whatever you send. Thanks
Janet Zajdel Cole and Dr. Kenneth W. Cole

P.S.  Sorry, I get so enthusiastic , I hope I don't offend.

I am more than willing to help you with your serach. Is this Hurricane Cemetery in Coles County Illinois? I am unfamilure with anything that far but I am willing to give it a try. Send me an E-mail with your information and I will do my best to get it to you. I have a digital camera so the photos will be easy to send to you through email. Criss

Janet..

I am puzzled over your post. There is a county named Faette in Illinois...but not a town. I also done a search on John Cole in Christian County IL. and I came up with his wife as Rosa F. Cole. I am sure you have your information correct, I just am having trouble trying to figure out exactly where I am to search. I have also found a Ruth Cole married to Clarence Cole in Taylorville. Also I am not familure with a Hurricane Cemetery in Taylorville although the name could have been changed in the past I will have to research that. I am more than willing and I understand how "giddy" you can get when you find information on your ancestors. I am exactly the same...that is why I am so willing to help others in their search. This is my passion, and it makes me feel closer to my own family now past, and those I never knew. In reading all of this Im sure you know by now You DID NOT offend me! LOL. I hope so much I can help you out with this. Criss

Criss I read this post and don't know if it would help but I grew up in Fayette County and there was a old man that lived in the country outside of Farina back in the late 1950's and early 60's  he lived alone in a old home back in the woods but don't know if that is who you might be searching for as I didn't see the original message.  Just thought I would through in my 2 cents worth

Probably, most Tarrants will be found in Oak Hill Cemetery on Cherokee St., Taylorville:

Looking for the surname Tarrant (I know I saw some there years ago but didn't know they connected).

Particularly:
Zedrick Clendenon Tarrant 1864-1946
Fannie Myrtle Tarrant 1877-1964
Melvin Melton Monroe Tarrant 1900-1968
Zeddie Edward Tarrant 1907-1965
Orville Gordon Tarrant 1910-1983
................................................................................
Clella Tarrant 1897
Mary Jane Tarrant McClughan 1902-1992
Olive Blanche Tarrant Wills 1905-1983 (may be in Logan Co., so don't go looking)
Belle Tarrant about 1912
Irene Tarrant Grieve 1916
And any others

Also Looking for the suname Leslie, in particular
George Franklin Leslie 1878- (possibly with wife Pearl Stone Leslie) , not sure of the cemetery:
Roma Leslie 1908-2000
Lawrence Leslie 1910-1997
Lloyd R Leslie 1925-1926
Marcella F. Earley Leslie 1908-1981
Helen May Keath Leslie 1910-1994

Fraley Cemetery East of Taylorvile:
Stone, Particularly:
Charles Winfield Stone 1855-1951
Mariah Elizabeth Camp Stone 1865-1950
David Thomas Stone
Sneed (should be by Charles and Mariah Stone) He would be a teenage boy.

I believe the markers should be on the far east side, towards the north, almost to a fence.

Thanks so much

Melody
