Can anyone tell me if Ward Cemetery in Carrier Mills, Saline County, IL  is still accessable?  And exactly how to get there.  The last time I went was with my grandmother about 17 years ago.  I know pretty much where it is but not sure who's driveway to turn in.  Looking for Whittenberg or Mifflin.  Thanks in advance!

I still haven't figured out if Carrier Mills is in Saline Co. or Williamson Co. lol
Now if you get farther down to Pope, Johnson or Massac, then I can help since I have several of the books for those areas.

Carrier Mills is in Saline County (barely).  I think I have it via the topographical map.  Thanks.  Any thoughts on who I could call or email to find out if it is passable?  It is in the woods, up a very steep hill via someone's driveway.  The last time I was there, you only had a little spot to turn around.  So, if it hasn't been kept up, it is possible that I would have to drive backwards down a steep hill.  Not a pleasant thought.  I also plan to try to jot down other names & dates if I can get in there.  There were only 30-50 stones so it won't be a huge task.  That way I can help others out too that might be in my situation.  Let me know if you think of any way to see if I can get in there.  Thanks again for the other info.

Have you tried posting to the Saline and Williamson Co. Rootsweb boards?  Both are friendly and helpful.  Sorry, I still haven't made it to Carrier Mills to hunt for some of my relatives that are buried there. When ever I get down there, I spend most of my time tramping through Pope Co.  I also need to get to New Burnside in Johnson Co. to check out a cemetery there.    If you get board, there is a Sonic in Metropolis. lol  I found a better site with a partial listing of Ward Cemetery
Blairsville Twp 8    Would you have time to do a look up for me in Creal Springs cemetery?

I don't know my way around Creal Springs very well, but if I'm traipsing down to Carrier Mills, Creal is on the way.  I would be willing to make an attempt.  As long as you are patient with the time frame.  I have a hard time finding a spare weekend to do this stuff.  Let me know the info and I'll certainly try.
