I have been searching for burial site and/or obit for Gabriel PRIBBLE. A cousin I contacted  through Ancestry.com said she used the PAPE mortuary database and found the following information. I would like to confirm that Gabriel is buried there. I wrote to IRAD and was told they had no record of his death, and recommended I contact the Vermilion county clerk's office, and I am waiting a reply from them.  (I have census information, even an entry in Vermilion County History information about Gabriel, but I do not have date of death and location.) From census information, I have his birth date as 1824.

 Date of Birth  1/1/1826
 Place of Birth  MONROE CO,OH
   PRIBBLE, d:georgetwn consumpt.
    obit- danville daily news 12/22/87
    age:61
 Date of Death  12/11/1887
 Cemetery  McKENDREE

If anyone lives nearby, I would appreciate a cemetery lookup, and if possible, a picture if there is a headstone.  I have checked the Vermilion County Rootsweb page, and did not find any information for this cemetery. I did find a picture of the cemetery and the following information at this site:
http://vermilioncounty.info/il-verm-list.html

McKendree Cemetery NE of Georgetown

Township:

McKendree

GPS:
40.00045 -87.57177
Hist Soc. #104

Does anyone have access to Danville Daily News Obituaries?

I would appreciate any help.
Carol

Sorry, I believe the death to be 1887, not 1837.  But I believe this to be the right one.

Thank you so much for the information and picture. Melody, you are right.  That is the right one.  Birth is actually 1826 and death 1887, as you noted.  Was this available online?  I really appreciate it.  Once again, you came through.  I now have a death date and place for Gabriel. His wife, Jane Caroline CANADAY was buried in Oklahoma in 1916, but we didn't have info for Gabriel. If you ever need any research done in Oklahoma, let me know! Both my mother's parents AND my father's parents came through Illinois on their way to Oklahoma, and this site has been a great help to me with all my lines.
