Thanks to all of you who replied. Some mysteries will never be solved. Really annoying isn't it. At least I know I'm not the only one. But they seem to be increasing every day. Started out with one or 2. A month later I'm gettin 10 to 15. pretty soon I'll be in the hundreds like you guys. wooohooo Trish

My ISP, Fidelity Communications(fidnet.com) has a filtering system.  I get about 50-60 emails a day inbox and a listing of some that didnt clear the filter(junk e-mails). These junk ones I have the option of having them ( one by one) delivered to my email or delete them without opening them. Lately this is how it works. Before, I got about 300-500 e-mails  a day.

I like the one where your loan is already approved. The first time I saw
that one it scared me before realizing it was just spam trying to get me to
bite. Dave :-)

Did anyone get the one from Africa where the person needs help transporting
millions out of the country? I've got several versions, the best is where
it is a long lost uncle that wanted me to have the money if something
happened to him. All I have to do is fly to Africa with a few hundred
thousand up front money to smooth the transition and I could be a
millionaire. If I had that kind of money I would probably buy Lotto tickets
instead! Dave :-)

Some of those unwanted emails can almost be entertaining, especially when
they tell you won a contest that you never heard of, but if you pay for
shipping & handling they can send you the prize. Or one of my favorites, is
when they tell you that you qualify for a $50 certificate at Home Depot, or
some other store. The small print tells you that you have to sign up for
some weird program before you get anything, small wonder I never win
anything----I am too cheap! Dave :-)

Probably found out that you were a dangerous person to mess with, and didn't
want to tangle with you again. I never tried that in notifying authorities,
have tried with blocking, ignoring, and then supposedly canceling. I guess
ignoring is the best, then they are never sure if the mail got to you or
not.

Isn't too bad that we don't have some rich relative trying to find us to
give us all of their money? Some of those people that fall for those scams,
really need to have their heads examined! Dave :-)

That's what happened to me, I would email them back either canceling or
telling them to take off their list. Then that would open the floodgates of
more unwanted mail. So I try to ignore most of it, but being curious about
some things-----like a silly cat. I always have to open one or two to see
really what it is really about! Dave :-)
