I use Family Tree Eleven Program for my genealogy information. Last year I merged 4 family files into one and I deleted the other three. There ended up being 4 of the same person throughout this file. I thought that the program would "merge all duplicate individuals" as specified in a sub-title of the program. After three hours of leaving the program to do this, I found that it only merged a hand full of ancestors! I contacted Family Tree Support and was told to re-name two of each of the four names, then merge them, but it would not merge the duplicate undividuals otherwise. That leaves me spending hours upon hours upon hours merging specific individuals, no matter if I rename them or not, a tedious job as there are thousands of names. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem. I am aggrivated that the program does not merge duplicate individuals like it advertises! Help! |
