This is our new computer, programs, and peripherals help board. If you would like to gain a little more knowledge about your computer and equipment, please use this board to post your questions. Don't be embarrassed - we all need a little help now and then. Be sure to tell us exactly what you need help with - learning to use your scanner or other peripherals, using programs like Word, NotePad, WordPad, etc. Also, let us know exactly what kind of computer and equipment you have so that others with the same kind can assist you. Please start a new thread for each request for help. Please do not use this board for anything else - messages containing anything other than a request for computer help or replies to them will be deleted. Have fun and learn to use your equipment to its fullest! |

I don't know what you mean when you say to use a new thread. Can you explain? |

A new thread is a new discussion on a new topic as opposed to a reply to a message already posted. At the top of each message board's list of messages is a link for a New Discussion. Click on that to start a discussion on a different topic. For instance when someone starts a new thread regarding the Jones family, then anyone with something to add to that subject would click on Reply to add to that discussion. Someone wanting to post a message regarding the Smith family would click on New Discussion to start a new thread rather than reply to the message on the Jones family. This keeps everything together and avoids confusion as to what replies go with which topic. Clear as mud?? lol |

That is what I need, some how I am not doing something right, I want to strip all the goggly gook from recepies and copy just them. Used to do it OK but then ran out of ink about a month ago and somehow have forgotten something important. Its not cooperating. I have windows xp in a compaq computer with intel. It's very easy, Kesha - simply highlight the text you want to copy and hit Control+c, put your cursor where you want to copy it to and press Control+v. When you highlight certain text and do the Control+c thing it copies it to your clipboard so that you can paste it to where ever you want it. Click here to get the full tutorial. |
