I think I will keep bumping Janie's message up until you'all scream "Stop." Then we will know that we got the message. Dear IKK Members, I know you've all been anxiously awaiting the news. After struggling with the idea of MSN booting us out and searching, spending many hours looking for just the right place to move to, Maggie and I have finally decided to move us to Aimoo.com. We both somehow feel a sense of loss and betrayal by MSN, but hopefully this move will work out. Aimoo promises to make the site look as it does here on MSN, even moving the membership list, but I still cringe at the thought of all the work done here over the years and all the friendships made that something will not be right. Call me paranoid, but the idea that we could have to start all over makes me shiver! With over 2200 members, I'm hoping the IKK will be intact once the migration is complete. They say it could take as many as 7 days before the migration is complete, so please be patient while their bots crawl the site. And that brings me to another paranoia - the IKK must be made public until the migration is done (another shiver down my spine!). I've made it public-restricted, which means that anyone can enter the site and view the pages, but they cannot join unless approved by the management. Please go to aimoo.com and set up an account (if you don't already have one) and wait for the migration to complete. Once it's done you can find the IKK at http://forum1.aimoo.com/IllinoisKinfolkKonnection. We hope this does not happen but if your name is not on the membership list then please apply and let us know that you are a member of the IKK in the old MSN groups. We'll see ya at our new digs! Janie & Maggie Managers, IKK |

I have tried 35 times to enter a verification code and the site won't accept what I am entering. I realize my password needs to be re-entered every time I have to enter a new code. Anyone know what to do? |

Tried with another computer. Security on that one says it is high risk. I'm not sure I want in there. |

Still trying to get in, including lowering my security and allowing cookies from the site. I keep getting blocks from my security, I guess. "Hides its identity" alert at Aimoo The assessment is based on geographical location and other factors such as site security, cookie handling, etc., etc., where CA servers run tests on sites and constantly update a list of URLs. Naturally as you get more visitors that report on your site, you may find that the security level changes. I would think that the fact 'the owner hides its identity' is a major contributary to the high risk status.
This found in the CA Website Inspector, CA Toolbar help.
Note: Many sites are considered high risk because the site owner's identity is hidden. In order to change their status, CA needs the name of the owner of the site, its location (city, state [when relevant] and country) and any form of proof that the owner exists in the claimed location and that he owns the site. |

I got in by turning off my pop-up blocker and lowering my security, as well as allowing cookies. Not sure I like this. |

To the Managers,
I agree with Melody. Who are/is this site and owners. Why would
we have to provide them with cookies unless our email addresses are going to
other parties. I have looked at numerous other sites with recognizable
names and this does not happen there. What is our guarantee of protection
on this site. I have a business that is connected with my email and I can
not afford to compromise it. Please take another look at this site
for IKK.
I would prefer to have a little less and be all together safe. We owe
this to people who may not be very computer savvy.
Thank you for listening. Karen |

Hi All, I have went to AIMOO.com and got registered.
Has anyone checked out facebook.com? I have an account there and so far no unwanted emails.
I joined facebook.com as they are suppose to have a genealogy section. Nancy W. in Michigan
