Birth, Death and Marriage Records
Cook County Vitals NOTE: Genealogical records are also available from Vital Records. The cost for a genealogical record is the same as any other certified record ($7 for the first copy and $2 for each additional copy). The application is also the same. Genealogical records are not certified documents, but are stamped "For Genealogical Purposes Only." Births had to occur 75 years ago or earlier, deaths 50 years ago or earlier and marriages 20 years ago or earlier to classify as genealogy records.
