In 1910, Perry V. Payne is in Freedom, Republic Co., Kansas. He is a hired hand living with the Rolla Washburn family. Perryy was born abt 1884 Illinois, his father born in Indiana, and his mother in Illinois. In 1930, Perry V. and Pearl Payne are living in Augusta, Hancock Co., IL. The twins were Benie L. and Bernice L. Pearl was born in Michigan, the twins, and their brother Donald W. Payne, age 3 4/12, were born in Illnois. It does not tell which twin has the middle name Lucretia or Lucille. |

Perry Vandiver Payne registered for WWI draft in Schoolcraft Co., MI in September 1918, He gave his nearest relative as Mina P. Payne, who is probably Pearl. He was a farmer working for himself. Medium height and slender in build. Perry was described as having blue eyes and dark hair. The birthdate given is May 4, 1883. |

The family is in 1920 Schoolcraft Co. Michigan, where Perry is a general farmer. Pearl is shown as Pearl M. The twins are shown as Bernice L and Bessie L., both 3 5/12 |
