I am looking for Jeremiah and Jane Nichols, Edgar Nichols, Mary Nichols, Vincent Nichols, John O. Fasset, etc in the 1860 census for Henry Co. but have had no luck in finding any of these ancestors. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Phyllis Higgins |

Are you sure that they were in IL then? I notice on the 1870 census that both Jane and Jeremiah were from "back East" (PA and NY) and their oldest child is 10 years. Makes me wonder if perhaps they could have met in the east , married and traveled to IL. Have you found them in IL prior to 1860?

Thank you for responding. Jeremiah was on the
1840, 1850, and 1870 census
for Henry County, IL. He is related to the
other names I listed and they were also
residents of Henry County in other
censuses. |
