I just received this from another group and thought some of you might find it useful:

I just went over to the FamilySearchLabs website and they FINALLY
put the Cook County Birth Certificates online in their FREE databases.
I just found my maternal grandmother'<WBR>s birth record. The only years
available at the moment are 1878-1915 but I was thrilled to find my
grandmother'<WBR>s name. HOWEVER, the database will be DOWN for
maintainance on Friday, although you can do a search in the database
you will NOT be able to view images.

Unfortunately, I don't have any ancestors from Cook Co. (that I know of anyway--LOL) but I know some of you do!

Thanks for the information on Cook County.  Hopefully, we will be able to find our gandmother in the birth records.

To anyone out there.  I can never get to IKK web site.  I do not remember how I found you.  I really enjoy the messages and especially the good word from Jim.

Could someone please tell me how to get to the message board again?

Thanks bunches.

Just above where you see this message, there is the subject line which says 'Cook Co. info-FREE' and it is in blue. If you click on that it will open another window and you will be on the website. Or, you can click on this message where it says 'Illinois Kinfolk Konnection', in blue, and it will take you to the main page. The different message boards will be to the left on the main page.

Thank you for this find. This is the county in which most of my ancestors resided in for some time.

Dear Swanskye,

If tou are reading messages from your email, you should be able to get into our site.  If you are getting theDaily Digest, click on the topic of discussion, such as "Good Morning" or "Address" or "Temple."  This should get you to the site.  The sidebar should get you to the boards you want, we ususally use the General Board.

If you are getting "Today in Illinois Kinfolk Konnection" Click on one of the "New Messages" which will get you to the site.

All the subjects are written in blue.  If you click on "New Members" thst should get you to the site as well.

I have been wondering where you were.

Melody
