I have access to MyTrees.  This has not cost me anything, and that is about what it has been worth to me.   When we had WebTV, before purchasing a computer, I had no way of putting my genealogy information into some semblance of order, so with the MyTrees site offering a free on-line program, I took advantage of entering some of my data.  (Since we got the computer, I use a software program called "Generations" and so have no further need for the MyTrees program, and have not entered any more data into it.)  On a few nights when sleep was elusive, I "earned" free search time by doing some census extractions, from 1880 census cards provided on the website.  I can now use these saved extraction hours to access data from the site.  I have not been impressed with this site, probably because there has been very little information I could use, but have found a few tidbits that pointed me in new directions and allowed me to discover a couple of people researching the same lines.  If anyone needs a lookup from there, however, let me know and I will be happy to see what I can dig up for you.

Sorry, I scanned through several Abbott entries, first using James, then Alrick (unusual names are a lot easier to weed through), then a couple other names shown on your query in various combinations.  The only match I saw was apparently posted by [email protected] regarding Alrick Abbott.  There may well be more matches to your family, and you can earn free subscription time--including the matching done by computer--details are at the site.  Ruth
